Re: Go david barton
There always was an ugly side to Class racing and it's alive and well here in 2011
In my Jr Stock days people got threatend and more.....and I have seen it and been involved in it..... These new cars and the way NHRA has accepted their BOGUS hp ratings is fueling the fires...... There was always the "have's and have nots".....but now Stock is basically "Have's" period......and all you "have not's" get lost.... Rediculous..... |

Re: Go david barton
If you can run a second under without having to do anything to a stock car you deserve twice the HP hit.
The front wheel drive turbo cars with engines that came apart the first time only for record teardown are replaced by the new cars. Look down the qualifying order. You have to get the #22 before you get a traditional stock combo. Nothing wrong with having new cars or FWD stuff as long as they are factored properly... and maybe AAA/Stock added! |

Re: Go david barton
Well it looks like the 6.1 is actually still alive as a '10 model in A/SA with a 7.51 factor, they will just need to add 180 lbs. This should still make them a competitive combination. The '09 model with a lighter shipping weight will go to AA/SA. Welcome back guys.

Kmachine,
email me your phone number (evan.smith@sorc.com) and i will gladly call you and tell you why i shut off at the 1,000 the first run. I ran it flat out most other runs. Our quickest of the weekend was 9.47/141 mph. Evan |
