Re: NHRA Announces Changes to Class Guide

I applaud Fezell for running it out, and no disrespect, but I gotta wonder where he and others put all that weight in a fairly small car. Got to be a headache adding weight and then removing some and the welding that goes with weight bar nuts, combined with race schedule, towing etc...wears me out thinking about it....looks like he's having fun tho

Was told in tech that next year there will be a 6, 6 1/2, and 7 lb weight break, so Fezell will be back in stock.

A 7.0 class makes sense, but having 6.0 and 6.5 weight breaks is just stupid. Those are Super Stock weight breaks, for a reason.

Well, weight breaks like that in their own class with the right tires and safety equipment would be great for the cars, owners, drivers, and racing.

I suggested 10" or 10.5" slicks, 12 point cages, and classes from 6.0 to 12.0 in one pound increments a while back.
