OK. The lesson here is....may the buyer beware! Time to put it to bed.

I've got to admit my curiosity is up a little, I plan to put this to the test this winter on the dyno. Maybe I will report back on this, PR maybe I won't 😆

This thread is unbelievable !!! How on earth couldn't you know the difference?? Doesn't gas smell like gas ?? Time to get back on your 85b and mill off your intake flange and get a new block and heads that never came on your car !! Haha !!

I don't know if a straight switch from Purple or Blue to C-11 (changing nothing else) would allow you to see all there might be to see.

I run C11 and this is exactly what I have had to do! Low compression (at least (mopars) motors seem to run better on the dyno and the track like this.

1320racer, exactly how successful are you with your 3 cars and combos after 3 decades? You say everyone knows you? I've been Drag Racing over 5 decades and I've never heard of you. Your lack of respect to other racers here and your ego tells me I could care less to meet you. Jim

I'll just say this.. if you are actually trying different fuels, and not making tune-up changes according to what your combination wants for that particular fuel, you just may be missing the advantages to that fuel.. and it is easier to do it on the dyno, if you in fact dyno.. many do not, because they run the same combinations freshen up after freshen up.. so they would have to try it at the track... and believe me, O2 sensors make the difference.. it's not that easy to read spark plugs anymore with some of these fuels..

There are some fuels that are almost a direct change over, but even with those, a little tuning would make things better..

It really doesn't hurt me that you never heard of me but apparently it hurts you to know not everyone has heard about you. It's quite evident that your ego and smart *** mouth runs faster than your cars though. You are sort of like the bearded lady at the carnival, entertaining for a short time but in the end not important or useful. Jim

Re: When you buy sunoco make sure it's not methanol

For what it's worth, I ran Sunoco in my SS and Stockers for many years. Way back before they even checked fuel. When I started having fuel check problems with it (2 in one year and 1 the next) I decided to try VP. They used to be pretty closely priced then and the only problem was figuring which one to switch to. Tried C12 and then settled on C11 as it seems to make more HP on the dyno in my particular (low comp 360 MoPar) combo. Many of my Chevy racer pals have told me the same. Just my experience so far, that's all.

There has been a lot of useful and informational info brought out here not withstanding the one ego driven poster here who insists you take his info as gospel and run the fuel HE wants you to run or you are a moron. LOL.

I think it is pretty evident that 1320racer has either got a deal with Sunoco or has stock in them. Nobody is that loyal to a fuel company! If I found a better fuel that worked better than what I run now... it'll be in my tank! After back to back dyno pulls I haven't found it yet.

Lastly, I would ask that you not feed the bear unless you enjoy the side show at the carnival. Jim

I speak the truth regardless of whose feelings and ego is wounded due to it. So Jimmy,
what part of the truth and the facts don't you like? Oh and my cars are quicker and faster than yours.:p
