Re: Original hemi dart information
Dave,
Here is Tony Chickery in 1970. Running his 1967 GTX 440, classed in SS/HA. This was the Centolanza Brothers GTX. You can still see the 'SS/FA' lettering from 1968 still on the 'C-Pillar'. Re: Original hemi dart information
As far as we know...the ownership history on the "MISTER ED" Dart:
Ed Knesevich (Columbus, OH)(Ed bought the Dart from Grand-Spaulding Dodge) Frank Madden (Greenup, KY) Tony Chickery (NY) Frank Yokem (CT?) Frank Dudash (MI) Terry Thurman) (MI) Norbert Knorr (MI) Does anyone know Mrs. Knesevich, Frank Madden, Frank Yokem, or Mrs. Dudash? |

Re: Original hemi dart information
My Grandfather had the car for over 10 years before I started tracking the history on it, lol. It's just a hacked up bracket car now. It will take a lot of time and money to fix what's been removed from the car, but I'm still young.
I am sure you've probably been looking at photos of your car for sometime now, just not knowing it's the car. With time, you will get the break you are looking for and everything will fall into place. On my '64 Dodge, I just found someone a month ago through Facebook who owned the car for a brief time in the 1970's. I didn't know he owned the car, or the two other people he told me about who owned the car after him. It's definitely an interesting experience, regardless of what the car is. |

Re: Original hemi dart information
I ran across these photos while cleaning out. Thought you guys on this thread would appreciate them. The pictures were probably taken the fall of 1968; they are marked as developed 2-69. Herb was at Carlisle, AR with Don Grotheer on that day. There may have been others, but I believe it was a match race for the crowd. I do remember he stayed at the end of the race to make some test runs and missed a shift. I helped him change the transmission and he was complaining that the aluminum cases transmissions weren't as strong as the cast iron case transmissions that he drove in the full sized cars. Enjoy!
