Looking at Joe's stats.........Bo's 9.19 at Norwalk looks mighty fast for the conditions.

Ditto! That is an about an 8.90's run at sea level! Maybe somebody ought to loan Red/Shaun LeBlanc a fast C-4!

Jeff Lawrence up in D-1 has a damn fast 85 Mustang with the 285/324 combo with a C-4 that could more than hold it's own. I haven't seen him on the sheets this year but in the past few years he has run low teens with his car.
I don't want to hear about corrected runs, in my opinion thats crap. Put the number on the board. I am sure the day I saw Andy run that 9.07 had it been a perfect pass he would have ran in the 8's.
Since sea level corrections were mentioned; I don't understand why the NHRA adjusts the indexes for altitude tracks, allow them to set mind blowing records, and then they don't get hp? I know this horse has been beat but I don't understand why combos aren't hit. I mean there were a couple of cars this weekend that went 1.40+ under and nothing will happen to those combos yet if someone would do this at a sea level track it's instant hp. What's the difference, the indexes are adjusted to make things the same so all other rules should apply. This is something I think should change but I know it never will.

Does anyone know why altitude tracks are exempt but can claim hero runs for records?

Because the altitude adjustment formula that NHRA uses is bad. Just ask Lou Ficco, he got hit .10 permanent for the win at Denver with a .77 under run. No comp car is that fast in the summer. I believe all runs should take the HP hit but NHRA needs to set the altitude at say 1800 feet not sea level.JMO

Any way you want to look at it, 9.19 run at well over 3000 feet corrected is a hell-uv-a-run! If anyone wants to try and knock off Andy Fogle, they are gonna have their work cut out for them. ;) Damn is this gonna be cool!

The moderately slow air conditions (2500 feet in the AM to around 3500 feet in the PM) allow the fast cars to hang it out making it way cooler.

"We don't need no stinking corrections"
