Mostly because its like a bunch of old women and kids pissing and moaning on here. Its as bad as the Democrats and Rep. fighting over the budget. Some cant see the forest for the trees at whats happening to class racing. Some like to kiss NHRA's azz and some tell it like it is. Not very many on here make comments for the good of class racing. Its all about them and not for the good of class racing. The attacks are very childish but thats human nature. It seems to be from those in certain geographical areas as they are used to being rude and unfriendly in their usual surroundings. Others is because they are young and have no respect for anyone elses opinion then they go on the offensive. Where is the common decency these days ? I admit I go off back at someone but its only after they push my buttons one to many times or call me something that really sets me off. Usually I can take the critisism as I had gotten used to it after 22 1/2 years with dealing with all kinds of personallities in racing. My suggestion for some is look in the mirror and grow up. But in reality they will not. My 2 cents.

I just got my car back together and running, and I would go if they would let me in. I just won't to race.

With low car counts does anyone see why that points deal could not be dropped for the last week or so if the entries are that short? What could it hurt?

I think the whole concept of the points system is so that racers would support the divisional races. There was a time not too many years ago that if you wanted to attend a National you needed to attend 4 or 5 divisionals. Now with 1 most of the time you can get in.

Ed, my guess is that it has to do with Administration, while we already see a lot of racers waiting to enter until the last moment, maybe that would get worse and they need the time to do all the paperwork with passes etc. It ain't like it used to be cause it's all in the 'puter these days.

Something I thought of while looking at the entry stats, EVERY catagory is being contested here plus it's a 3 day event for a place that has a reputation of foul weather.
If the fields were indeed full, how the heck would they get it all done???
Would that scare some from going?

The car counts are for sure a sign of economic troubles for alot of people. NHRA doesn't help with the increase of entry fees and along with back office services, such as licences and perminent numbers. The one thing that I can see NHRA doing to protect themself's from the having money troubles is to put a car count on the purses for the sportsman Eliminators. With the fan base dropping off, back office money, along with membership money can only go so far for the sportman ranks before NHRA pulls the plug on sportsman going to national events. National events will become pro events only, divisionals will be left for sportsman. Think "Monster Trucks" to kill time in between rounds of the pros.

Makes as much sense as anything Bernie. I have plenty of points, but won't be able to make it. Shame these guys that can go won't be able to.

They may but they shouldn't If you look at the actuall NHRA pay out it takes very few cars at the current entry fee to cover the payout. If any one tried to put on a race with the payout to entry ratio of a NHRA natianal (not counting contingency) no one would show up.

i for one definitely considered class win $$$ in my choice of races. 10 years ago we could pick up $7-800 and pay for a trip. Even the $400 two years ago helped when you race and raise 2 kids alone on a budget... so i pretty much only went to class races.

i wont attend any nhra event (maybe a divison 3 to see my friends) anytime soon
i went to belle rose ($772 tow gas) because i believe in pat's race format and the way he treats us and the way wesley techs the cars... i wont go to indy ($100 tow gas) because nhra jerks us off and the yearly fiasco they call tech.

just my opinion, and i vote with my entries
