Re: Linda Vaughn

Here I am with Linda at the 1977 World of Wheels Car Show in Winnipeg. I was 14 years old. Initially, we posed standing together, but my friend had trouble with his camera. Linda went back to the table and signed a few more autographs. Once my buddy was ready, Linda told me to sit down, then she sat on my lap. You see the result in the photo. I think I became a man that day. ;-) Linda could not have been more friendly or more beautiful.

I still have my pic with her from the 75 Gator Nationals. Very warm and easy to talk to person, treated like an old friend. Sorry to say in this day with the pc climate, this lady would not be allowed, too sexists they would say. Ah, love those good ol days. I feel lucky to have lived in those times.

She is a great person and always was. Never met anyone as friendly and at ease with their admirers. One of the best memories I have is having her with us and me in the winners ceremony with pictures after winning the SummerNats. She was always very easy to talk to and warm and friendly going way back to the Hurst days. We always tried to say hello to her if she was walking around in the pits and she always acted like you were friends. She is a one of a kind....

I will have to get that book.
Despite K.Z's opinion Linda is indeed a beautiful person. She is very friendly and probably knows as much racing trivia as Bob Frey and Bret Kepner together.

Here are more names added to the book. Just think, all of these names have offered their thoughts on Linda. What other book has ever done that?

I was just wondering the same thing. Wishing her well and hope she comes through it quickly. Everybody's favorite girl in racing.
