Yes, thats my old 67 Camaro.
Sold it, I think to someone in new York. It then turned up in the Detroit area and was run a bit by Hush (Bert) Dawson. Then the last I heard of it was it the Texas area.

Who knows now??

It's funny how old race cars have a habit of showing up anywhere in the country sometimes thousands of miles away from the original owner.

Yes, Len still has the Thunderbird. I saw him at Sacramento June 2010 testing.

Is this the same car (see pic of Joe Scott's camaro below)?
Where did it go after Wally had it?

ANSWER = ........ "YES".. IT IS THE SAME CAR!
Wally had this built at FJ Smiths.
Sold it to Walt Kriel (from NJ?)
Joe bought it a few years ago after his GT truck burnt in a garage fire.

Tom,

Thanks for the picture! What a fantastic thread, a real trip down memory lane. Alex sent a telephone number for John Nemeth and I will have to touch base with him. I had no idea where the car was, or if it was still alive.
That car provided a lot of thrills back in 76 and 77. I believe it was the first SS/J car to run in the 10's. Winning class at the Winter Nationals was a "Big Deal" back then, since only the class winners got the chance to compete in the eliminator. Thanks, Happy New Year and say hello to your dad.

Todd, they changed hoods and ran it as a small block car in SS/HA. It's a original titled Big Block stick car
