Re: National Record Holders
We held the SS/K record, on and off, from 1979 to 1983, until we installed the 327 in the car. We then held the SS/H record for a couple of years, until we sold the car to Ken Preston, he then held the record for awhile. I believe we were the first Super Stock 283 engine to go in the 10's. It went 10.92 at Greenvalley Texas, early in 1980. We also won Super Stock at the Mile High Nationals, in 1979 and 1980. Eddie Rezac & Sons, [Tim, & Todd]

Re: National Record Holders
First records set were 5/27/07 in F/CM at US 131 @ 10.8289 at 120.26mph. Currently hold F/CM at 10.776 at 121.06 and H/CM at 10.968 at 118.52 all in my 69 Camaro. While setting the six total records I had two things in common, the first was it was the hottest and most humid day of the summer and the second was, friend and fellow drag racer Don Holben was there to help me reassemble the parts each time. I like the way IHRA tells you to show up with the engine apart a day early. They check it, and you reassemble it in front of them, they seal it, and make your two runs. I am planning on set two more records this year and then turn the driving of my 69 stocker over to Brad Z. I want to focus on drag racing my other cars and also my pursuit of 200 MPH at the Bonneville Salt Flats in my 99 Camaro.

Re: National Record Holders
In oct. 2008 at the div. 4 race in Noble,Ok, we qualified #2. Later, same weedend, Wesley came up to me in the staging lanes and told me a number of people had approaced him and were saying I was not "legit". Went to the nat open in Kansas City later same month and set the D stick et record at 10.54. Duzac held it before me and he later took it back. But it sure felt good to do it. 1967 mercury cougar 390

Re: National Record Holders
I didn't set it, but loaned it to a friend and he took it to Tucson divisional and set the record at 12.18. I hope to someday set the record myself with the car as it is on my list of things to do since I got into class racing.
