Norm,

The pre-entry portion for the event has passed. From now on you can just pay at the gate (200). We will have tents set up near the staging lanes that rather you pre-entered or paying at the event you need to come get your tech card, etc (similar to a Nat Event). This will be starting on Friday morning till the 2nd qualifying shot on Saturday. The shootouts on Friday night are optional and you can sign up for them also when you sign up for the event. The test and tune on Friday morning / afternoon is FREE and ANYONE can run them! Hope to see you make it out Norm...it's going to be a great time!

Well Angelo asked and you shall receive...

I’m proud to announce that Micro Strategies has signed on as title sponsor of the “Micro Strategies CIC Throwdown at Numidia.” The event will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2013. After last years great event with a good car count and competition, it was only necessary to add it onto the docket. Also, who else wants to see a final round of 2 Super Stockers doing burnouts to the 330 foot mark....I know I do! Nitro Joe and I will have the shoe-polish handy and ready to rock and roll at this event! The event will also be video taped and produced by Rob Need for Speed!

Established in 1983, Micro Strategies builds lasting relationships that are open and trusted. Many of their clients, including leading midmarket companies from the financial services, legal and pharmaceuticals industries, have been with them since their inception. Our customer satisfaction rating exceeds 96 percent.

With two offices in Denville, N.J., and Malvern, PA., showcasing solutions built through our strategic business partnerships. The Centers let teams refine technical skills and offer a way for clients to run proof-of-concept tests against unique requirements and get trained on newly implemented solutions. With two Solution Centers more than a hundred miles apart, we can uniquely demonstrate disaster recovery capabilities and business continuity solutions.

I will have a complete schedule posted in the middle of the week for everyone along with the details of the event, and logo so keep your eyes and ears open for yet another exciting event that is being added to the Nitroplate Stk/SS Shootout at Numidia

Re: Nitroplater Stk/SS Shootout at Numidia - Sept 13th & 14t

Rob - That's a beautiful thing - big thanks to the Micro Strategies Team for the support!
- it really was a blast last time - & yes a burnout to the 330 was very cool - what even made it more dramatic was the fact that my shifter jammed and couldn't get my car into reverse right away.... eventually i got it loose and the rest is history - the reason Bryan Worner & I did that was because it was pretty late and the track conditions were getting a little slippery... Even still my car was getting loose in high gear, drifting around, and I eventually decided to shut it down. (Thats not to take anything away from Bryan, as if I recall, we were spindle to spindle at the time..... outcome unknown).....

We ran that final very very late - Bryan and I were both sitting in our cars for over an hour (maybe more) while the Bracket cars were run through (seemingly endlessly). I was practically asleep as it was way past my bed time when we fired up & someone had to come over to wake me up..

I'm just kidding (sort-of) trying to ad some humor to the situation...... but if I could make a strong suggestion - try not to let that happen this time around - its too much waiting around, and also not safe to race cars "on kill" when the dew is setting in.... hey just my suggestion as one of the two finalists.... I'm sure Bryan and several of the crew people would agree. I know its easier said than done..... but I'm hoping there are a lot more cars in the CIC race than last time around. Bring your thin oil & and funky gas and have a blast. The fasted, or best hp factored car doesn't automatically win.... reaction times, getting down the track.... etc all play into it.

- it is very rare nowadays that a racer can put the full blown - banzi tune-up on their car, with several time trials to work up to the ideal set-up..... and "go for broke" w/o worrying about AHFS issues. If you've ever wanted to experience what Comp Eliminator is like - this is the way to go.

Re: Nitroplater Stk/SS Shootout at Numidia - Sept 13th & 14t

Angelo,

The plan is to start a lot earlier this year with the CIC Race. One of the reasons is that it will be in Mid-September so it will be getting darker a lot sooner and it will be a lot colder then it was in the mountains in June (Even though the weather this summer has been one to scratch your head at...I broke out the sweatshirt at Cecil this weekend). Some of the Throttle Stop Cars had issues also that's why we moved some of the finals till after Saturday's Race. I'm also working on maybe not having the Street & Bracket Cars there that Friday Night but, for Bob and Numidia that is a BIG Money maker for the track as some people come in and pay the gate fee just to come get dinner from the concession stand and never watch a lick of racing...haha.

I will have a complete schedule in the next few days so you can start planning. I'm trying to work things out that we are a few rounds into the CIC Race before we get into the Quickfuel Combo event so racers can do both if they want too. I know it ran quite long last year and even had a small 25 minute rain shower.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Lynn & I spent time with Rob at Atco , he is trying to make the Nitroplate Shootout as great as Lee and Brian did the past 2 years. For those that have not attended you are missing a great race and an enjoyable time. We know it is difficult to plan in advance, but if possible please support this race, you won't be disappointed!
Thanks, Rich & Lynn

Joe - you won't nessesarily get crushed - the more rounds you go the faster cars indexes are getting hit.... and the racing gets closer and closer. it really is a blast.

also cars on kill can spin, get loose down track, red-light, unload on the wheelie bars... it really is a shoot out.... plus you get a chance to see just how much et you can squeeze out of your car if you leave no stone unturned.
