Saves me from blocking the ''individual'' (being polite here), the contents and spirit (personal attacks) of his posts do not belong in the S & SS forum of CR.

Re: Jeff Lee DQ'ed

I have known Jeff for close to 30 years and have watched him work hard for everything in his life. I saw Jeff struggle in his early days, working hard and attending school at the same time. From living in a single wide to his current beautiful home in Anthem, a successful career in real estate and a beautiful family.

As he is with his personal life, Jeff is passionate about our sport and has the same passion when building his race cars. If many just had an idea how much he has invested in his AMX and how much R&D he has done, you would say he is crazy. Nevertheless, it is his passion.

He did not deserve the criticism; many of us have made mistakes and stupid things at the track. However, at the end of the day, we all learn from our mistakes and it is a lesson learned.

Congrats Jeffro....been a long time commin'. Please send some prosperity mojo my way as I'm dying to climb behind 3 pedals again. Any pictures, I remember you talking about the major changes in the car and would love to see.

As for Mr.1320 jackwagon, how about posting a video of your sh*tbox launching like Jeff's car did when it was a 9 inch tire ride. He's walked his talk. Now it's your turn. Oops.. nevermind. I just saw he's gone on to bigger and better things.

Ken, sorry for being sarcastic towards him after the fact, but you made a fair and integral decision. I've noticed the harsh abrasiveness too.

I say, Congrats to Jeff, for just being there, and gettin back into the game. Me, im just gettin started, and it's guys , like you all, that keep me inspired. Hope to see you all at a divisional, sometime in 2014. As for 1320, im sure he has some knowledge, but, he has no need to be as abrasive, as he is. He is the kind of guy, that , likes to see fuel added to the fire... Why cant we all just get along? :o

I belong to forums like this one as an oppurtunity to share my passion with other like minded people. Just because I don't agree with someone elses opinions doesn't cause me to want them to get banned. I just don't like to see people instigating trouble for their own personal joy.

I know the track has a live feed video, does it get archived to review later? I'd sure like to see that. That was Q3. Nice use of the flash Bob Johnson Photography!

As for Ed, I'm sure he will find another forum.

As for the other's here, thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. We're going to recheck the wheelbase, make sure it's not off on one side as we want as little pre-load on the bars as possible. I had two-flats on the passenger side and for E1, I had another 2.5 flats in there. Having almost 5 flats seems excessive to me so that maybe telling me there is something wrong elsewhere.
Fixing the fuel cell vent is easy. What I can't understand is why it's never been a problem in the past. I'll put 3 loops in it and run a long length from there.
Hopefully I have the tire clearance already fixed. Now I need a body man to clean it up a little. I just received a message from another racer who had a slick to body clearance issue and once fixed, picked up 3 MPH. And my slick wasn't touching the body just a little, I've got a good 3" of tread that's worn down considerably more than the other 6" on the outside. I guess these Hoosiers grow a lot more than the M/T's I used to run besides the fact I went from a 91"-92" rollout to a 96" rollout. And I'll be checking rollout on both slicks as well to make sure that's OK.
ET factored to 10.48 @ sea level. There's a handful of D/S cars that can match or better that so D/S could be a fun place to be right now!

Judging from the direction the front wheels were pointed I would say Bob may have peed a little.

Jeff, A couple thoughts on the fuel vent.
Make sure the vent line is properly sized for the rest of your system. I had an issue on my old T/S car and found the vent was undersized. Magna fuel has a good diagram on their website to explain this.
Also, there are differing opinions on foam material in the cell, but you may benefit from foam by reducing the effect of sloshing as your car returns to earth after your launch.
Another easy fix would be to lower the fuel level in the cell a couple inches.
