Eddie, Procol Harum was chuck full of future greats.Their lead guitar player went on to stardom with his buddy James Dewar singing in Robin Trower.. Always liked his voice and of course Robins rifs. Dewar died of cancer and Robin has since tried moving to other singers, but I just don't like Robin without James singing...

Robin Trower, I have "Bridge of Sighs" and "BLT" somewhere around the house. One of the greats.

You guys are taking me off course here LOL
I had intended to post more from my original list , by now ...

Meanwhile...

" Listen to the tide slowly turning
Wash all our heartaches away
We are part of the fire that is burning
And from the ashes we can build another day
But I'm frightened for your children
And the life that we are living is in vain
And the sunshine we've been waiting for
Will turn to rain.."

I have been blessed to have see some of my favorites in recent year. The summer concert series in Tahoe has been great with Frampton, James Taylor, Paul Simon. Steve Miller, Christ Stapleton. I have see Clapton three times over the years, my favorite was Clapton at the National Soccer Stadium in Santiago, Chile (family). Six rows back center, sister-in-law got those tickets. Saw the Eagles in Vegas at the MGM Grand. I have been lucky to see them all. Oh Stevie Winwood at Pechanga in Temecula and Fleetwood Mac at the Hollywood Bowl. Just lucky.

Speaking of concerts.Sue and I had tickets to see Kansas in December. 2nd row back, mid section, in a small theater that seats 1700. covid screwed us out of that.Damn..Three original members are still in the band. I hear they do one heck of a job.I played Leftoverture to death when it came out. Still one of my favorites. Keyboard on this song is addictive ....

For Jeff and any other prog. rock fans.

The Strawberry Hill Boys were an acoustic , bluegrass group in the UK, late 60's

Shorter name and several styles later, we come to the title song from their 1974 album:

(There is a newer , acoustic version of this song on YT, so they are still at it.)

Mark, I wasn't the Strawbs fan in this family, my wife ! had all their stuff when I met her. There are still some of their albums in our collection.

I'm going to change directions and go a little country. I bet this is a surprise. I'm kind of a sucker to Bonnie Raitt types and female singers.
I guarantee you, if you listen to this ( modern) song by Jewel, you will listen to it a second time. It's that good. Plus she's hot ....I like the break @ 2.23 mark where she takes it up a notch ...
