Do you work for free? When I was in the Army. My pay, travel, and medical were all funded by the tax payer. Also as part of the package when I got out I had the benefit of $xxx I could use for school.

The phrase "to raise and support armies" is a power granted to Congress in Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. This power gives Congress the authority to provide for the national defense in both peacetime and wartime,
Maybe the next there is a war, we can have someone to do it for free. If we send them, we must mend them.

Who said anything about working for free? Eddie said "Corporate Greed" and "Price Gouging" How do think corporation's stock values go up, by losing money? They are doing nothing wrong by optimizing profits. Again, why change the way United States works, when they're plenty of places around the world you can move to if you want government running all industries.

I quoted what I was responding too. What people who served in the armed forces got/get as benefits (yes tax payer funded), and it had nothing to do with any of what you posted here.

Actually you did in a way. You seem to have no problem with the CEO get payed big $$$. Yet you seem to question the benefits Eddie gets because they are Tax Payer Funded.

Big oil made 31% profit, did wages increase, I doubt it. Taxes cut by 17% and in reality they pay 8.2% with all the write-offs. Let me make a suggestion, 10% across the board no write-offs. Fair to all

You don't get to discuss benefits afforded to the men and women that served. When you see a young Marine dressed in his Dress Blues missing both legs and part of his right arm with his young wife pushing him in a wheel and know that she will have to assist him for the rest of his life. Until you walk a mile in that Marines boots you need to stand down and be grateful.
