Titanium is entirely unsuited for a sliding interface application. Especially against cast iron or steel.

I've used nascar .875 lobes on .842" lifters, and spun to 8200 with 1.300" valve springs, I'm aware of all you've said.

Yes, NHRA not likely to invest or do anything to enforce integrity in the class.
