As for Jeggie; sometimes it would be nice if people saw the car in person before jumping to conclusions and bashing him. He is putting alot of effort in stock eliminator which I think is very cool. He's legit and a very talented racer who is working hard to win in stock and that will consistently win sooner than later. The hand motion in the video is just a "motion" for technique purposes....not a transbrake nor is it a hand activated two step.

I'm not asking you to give him a break because of who he is (like some people mentioned) but to give him a break because he is legit and works as hard at it as anybody I have seen.

Fine the switch is not hooked up explain to me how the non perminent blinder is legal. Or is it that if you are legit and work hard it is ok to cheat. You just cant be a also run and be lazy and cheat. As I see the rule it is peretty clear the blinder he grabs and throws in the video is NOT LEGAL. I did not have to be there to see it it was brodcast to the whole world to see.

Pete....It was just a good race.....as far as I'm concerned if there was an NHRA SS Hall of Fame your name would be there....I remember watching you win Indy against Lincoln in Gunns car on ESPN... back then I was just getting into SS......Brian VanPopple sold me the camera...something to play around with during the downtime to try and get different shots.

I understand what Jeggie is doing....he's just simulating as if he had a transbrake in the car...keeps him sharp.

letting off the brake with your foot at the same time you let off a button with your finger.......sounds like rubbing your belly while patting your head!

Chris Bowman, are you aware that all of us stick guys have to do this every run?

...unless you want to push the front runners the first 60 ft, which I'm sure has never happened. :D

Novassdude,
As Fletcher said before, blinders should be banned altogether. It would certainly make for safer pits because there wouldn't be ss, stock, and comp guys driving around the pits with pieces of cardboard etc blocking their vision. So back to your above post and you using the word "cheat". Pretty harsh words. Let's put things in perspective here; you are acting as if Jeggie had a huge advantage on the run because he removed the blinder after launch. Well then again maybe that is what you think? Hmmm..... At any rate, I am sure he will have it "permanently attached" by next race. As for the slight harmless (non advantageous) oversight by not having it attached.... again, let's put things in perspective here.

Btw which nova do you drive?

This is what I find funny about this whole thread. We as a group stk and ss racers are killing our own sport. You may say it's NHRA but really it's not. It's all the cry babies that bitch on forums like these but have no balls to take a stand and voice there opinion face to face.
People continue to CRY about buttons, blockers, fuel, closing the lanes, this guy was late, this thing, that thing, bla bla bla!!!! Buttons on the pedal, buttons on the steering wheel and buttons up peoples @##! Who cares!!!
I have this question to the "older crowd" the people that complain about what the younger generation that's now involved in this sports does.. WHAT YOUNG PEOPLE ARE JOINING STOCK OR SUPER STOCK? Who? Who is going to join a bunch of crying drama queens that jump to there own unproven decision? No one.. What younger person can afford a10, 000 motor to go stock racing because the dropped indexes? Who? Oh you’re getting it now... No one!!
The best is you bash a person, a family and most of all a company that has done nothing but go out of there way and will go out of there way for any sportsman competitor!
These are people ( Fletcher, Biondo , Jegs and many others) that expose our sport to other levels. That don' t want it to end.
To the people that cry about new ways to win.. Here you go. There's these gps things that people drive around with in there car.. Oh most of us now have them in there tow rigs. Take the units out and put them in your race cars for first round. Punch in the thing " SCALES" .. That is the only way most of you guys will find them.

SS 1136
Stock 1136

Seems to me that having a cam a few thou. too big or a slightly higher than stock rocker ratio in a stocker would be "slight" and "harmless" (non advantageous) but it is still against the rules.
