I remember a Maryland track running four wide years ago. I believe that it was Capital but I am not sure. I remember seeing a picture from the later 1970's when Dyno Don ran a Mustang II at that track when he ran an 8.06 in a four way match race against Grumpy and Sox and another car that I cannot remember. The best that any of the other ones ran was in the 8.30's I believe.

Maybe I'm having a senior moment, but I thought I remembered Ven Senus being in northern Indiana not too far from the "western" US 30. Which brings to mind the "We Haul" Camaro.

Re: life after Super Stock for the Hemi A-bodies?

Dan, you're right that old sign appears to be from US 30 dragway near Gary Indiana and not York US 30 dragway, but the rest of the photos are from York US 30 in Pennsylvania.

Larry's car was built from his '68 car and subsequently restored back to it's 1968 configuration.

Re: life after Super Stock for the Hemi A-bodies?

Liteweight, I've heard two different stories on the Larry Griffith '68 Hemi Dart, one that it was a converted car, and the other that it just got repainted but still had it's '68 sheetmetal...so I don't know which story to believe...but this '68 Hemi Dart was painted black with lots of chrome underneath before it got re-restored and lettered up in his name & colors again.
