Here's a tidbit for you - had a long conversation with Joe DeMarzo Saturday night about his recent posts concerning the future of his Nova Stocker - what it comes down to is that he's convinced that his cars' feelings have been hurt ---- can his car read ? Must be because it broke plenty of parts over the weekend and Joe wants to publicly apoligize to his ride ( his car must read my column I guess ) and wants it to know there are no plans to add a big block at this time or to put it up for sale after years of faithful service .Just when you thought you heard it all .................I thought since his car will be reading this might as well have a few pics - just to get it in the right frame of mind for the upcoming Keystone Nationals .

Joe - You might want to try a couple of coats of Meguires ..............

Jack,Joe told me the other day he was coming over to the dark side and putting a stick in it for next year.

I hope his skirt doesn`t get caught up in the shifter.

Jack thank you for the auto support. Sorry this is going to be long winded but my, no I mean our therapist said I need to get it out.

It was the weekend from hell but also the one of the best weekends. Friday the ole nova blew the ring gear and locked up (after a TT run that was ugly), had to be towed back to the trailer from the 60ft maker. For those of you who have never been towed it is the longest tow of your life. I was heading back to put it on the trailer and head home saturday am. Rich Amen (figures a stick guy) was parked next to me and said " I have a spare set of gears if you want and offered to help put them in (lol)'. Those stick guys are special.

As Richie and I are getting into it Dan Lynch came by to see what happened and got under the car and we started the project, 10 min later the big guy, 'Bubba" (like Cher or Madona he needs no last name) comes over and I quote "I hate getting dirty but it always finds me". Bubba was under the car and he and Richie had me back in no time (cost me 2 beers, guess for who). Many thanks to Eddie Bednez who had every spare part I needed that Richie did not have (another stick guy, ouch) We had plenty of supervision from a lot of my racing colleges including Dennis Chapman, Glen hartzler, Kenny Richard, and my first round oppenet who ask me how much are you going hold now?

Saturday I was warming the car up for a TT the tranny cooler gives way by th scales and oil is all over the place and once again i get towed back, did i mention a long ride. I miss the TT and take the cooler and all the lines out and there is Richie Amen again (no cooler on a stick car he told me) and we get fixed for first round.

I have nothing to dial off so i talk to those at who where at Atco when I was and look in my log book and decided to hold a bunch, went 3 round and lost on a -.003 red while going .01 over the dial.

The ole Nova sent me a text "sale me will ya, no one will buy me when i am finished with you" So I am sorry Boo.

Adam that is a kilt not a skirt and sportsman racers are the best people around could not have done it alone.

Thank you.

Joe, since things happen in three's - did you or the green rocket put the mojo on us (haven't broken a rocker in years, much less putting a rod through the pan on the next round)?
Great spending time under the car with you this weekend! Next time we should forget about the broken parts and head right to the food.
PS - love your Mom
Rich & Lynn

I'd like to take credit for Mr. Bongiovanni's success this weekend.. it was off to a shaky start saturday morning until I stopped him in the tech line and told him his fly was down.. I mean I must have saved him from what could have been otherwise detrimental to the micro strategist. (Sorry Mr. B!) It was smooth sailing from there for the team.

Also, there were lots of cameras at this event. I know Kubicke was shooting on the starting line and DragTimeNews was at the finish line. There was another camera guy who was shooting the Saturday night starting line launches and he showed my dad some good shots from second round but I never got to see them. Does anyone know who he is or where I find his pics??
