Well we are back home after another Indy. After Larry got beat by Bo again, I figured Bo was destined to win the race again, but he got beat in the 3rd round. We went up into the stands to watch the 2nd round and had planned on watching the 3rd before we came home, but it was just brutal in the sun. So we loaded up and headed on home where it was 95, too.

I have a few more pics to post from the week:

i would like to see the drivers dissasemble and reassemble these cars, just wondering how many could even drive out of the barn ??

p.s. barn at times looked like a new car dealership shop...almost all new cars, many mechanics, and many drivers just watching them work on thier cars.

I think it is great Ford Motor Company came to Indy and gave support to racers.Very positive move by Ford and thank so much for taking the time for the reports and the great pictures.

Thank you Larry and Patsy for the reports and pictures. They are always a treat.

Oh, I have always been a die hard GM person up until recently. The reason I now can't claim to be was explained by the wording on Bill Skillman's shirt. I loved that.

Hey Dan Moore, you're #1. :D

Right Rich, his (Fetch) MPH further shows the ''potential'' at hand.
I have nothing against these new cars, just wish old school and new school racing outcome would not be as predictable & dominant as it is now....most of the time.........

Well as most of you know I lost first round yesterday morning. It was a long week and I decided to hit the road late afternoon yesterday.

Thanks to Patsy and Tom for the great pictures and updates, and Toby Lang Productions for the great videos.

Indy this year for me was a blast, and I am already looking forward to next year. I just hope it is not as hot, two days in a row temps hit 100, I don't think Indy was ever that hot in the past.

Good luck to the rest of the competitors that are still in, and a safe trip home for everyone.

The Barn!!!
Why was Downing DQ in stock????
Bigger QUESTION is WHY was Hopkins DQ? He just won a National Event a week and 1/2 ago? No teardown then, kinda stinks!

It seems to me that there has been an usual amount poor RTs, both red and late in Stock and Super Stock this year.
Is the sun an issue on the tree in the morning at Indy?

Noticed that myself. Right lane seemed to have the most red's.

I know this happened yesterday morning, but Randy and I were paired, and then were put into the lanes before advancing underneath the bridge. At this point, when our lanes were to advance, my car would not crank. A buddy went to inform Randy that my car was having issues, and Randy asked to get out of line and wait. However, officials told him that he could not, and I just didn't have enough time to rectify the issue. Therefore, he received a single.

This was like a kick in the gut to Jim. I was pitted next to him and helped him with cooling down his car for this race. Nobody works harder to go fast than Jim. He is the classic gentleman racer. This time he not only had to race one of the large-ego cars but it came with an excellent jockey; who is not the owner. We can discuss these issues until the cows come home but nothing will change. This race was about big money taking over an outfit that has no shame. They try to pass this off as a changing of the guard when in fact it is simply greed at it's worst in automotive competition organizations.
