Go back to page 7 for pictures.
Well, we got away from the racetrack about 11. We got out while stock was running their time time, so we had room to maunerver. We went into Baton Rouge and had lunch with my cousin and now we are on the road again heading back to KY. pro I haven't checked on the entries for Charlotte lately, but I am going to withdraw this afternoon. So if it is still full, you might get lucky and get in. I want to apologize for not posting any more than I did while we were there, but when you are not actually racing, it takes a lot of the enthusiasm out. It is raining here in Baton Rouge so it probably will be at the track soon. At least they got in a little bit before it started. I think Pat was very smart to change the schedule and try to do what is best for the sportsmen who have to be back at work on Monday. So bye for now and we will be back "Live" as soon as Larry gets another engine built. Patsy |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
I forgot to thank Greg Schenck for the notebook and drink holders he gave us at the race. It was nice meeting you. Hopefully at the next race I will get by and meet more people and get more pics.
Last night, we drove as far as Grenada, MS and stayed at the same Walmart as we did coming down. Got there in time to see KY beat Wake Forrest. Then slept in this morning and we are now driving home in the rain. We saw where it was snowing in Shreveport, LA this morning. I hope Bobby Brannon gets home safely. Just thought of something I heard before we left, Jim Hale lost an engine at Belle Rose also. And someone stole a hood pin. And his aluminum got caught in the wind and got bent up. Well more from the next race! GO WILDCATS!!! |

Teutons are great by the way..but NHRA will have destroyed this class for the older cars in a few short years..but maybe thats part of the plan? In a year or two i cant really see the ones with the older cars even bother to show up in classes where the new cars are present.. As said before...new cars are welcome in stock..absolutley...but they shouldn't be SuperStockers!! |
