My cars are not the best of all time --but I have spent a lot of time and money building them and had a lot of fun over the years of raceing and meeting drag racers --if I was smart enough I could figure out how to post pictures of them --but they are all on auto imagery under Emmett Mikolajczyk 4924--I sure hope things get better,so I can get back to raceing--later--Emmett

Don,

A couple of the IHRA modified Corvettes you probably remember are the ones of Wayne Allison and Dane Pearson. There were others but I can't recall their names.

Allison still runs his I think in IHRA div2 and I heard through the grapevine that Dane Pearson is putting something together.

Doyle Evans of Jacksonville NC has a 66ish Vette with a small cid sbc that runs in modified also.

The 66 Vette was driven by Dwight. I think he was associated with Leonard Limia (SP) and another preson that had Auto Sports Center in Little Rock Ar. I'm not sure about the actual ownership of the car, but it was listed for sale a few years ago. It sure would be nice to have that car today.
I'm pretty sure Dwight can get my facts straight and tell us more about the car...:~) Dwight???.....

IHRA Econo-Modifieds were sort of like super stockers. Gene Fulton and Mark Osborne both had killer Coupes back in the late eighties.
