Apparently, one of the 2012 enhancements will be that "all" window nets will expire after 2 years. 2011 rules had an two year expiration term for the "mesh" type nets only; "ribbon" type nets did not expire.

I do not see anything about an expiration date.

"A SFI-27.1 ribbon-type or mesh-type window net is mandatory on any full-bodied car required by the rules to have a roll cage."

The only thing changed here is the placing of "SFI-27.1" in front of the wording "ribbon-type" and the deleting of the "SFI-27.1" in front of the words Mesh-Type. So now both "ribbon-type and "mesh-type" window nets must meet SFI-17.1 specs.

What a Joke

Dont worry Larry it's not goin anywhere... A B C . Last week at 500ft it went 9.48 141way heavy for A/SA with a slipping trans and a mild tune up. Goin tuesday with a new trans and I think if all goes right its easily gonna go .30's and if we take the weight out 9.20's are possible. We are gonna do what they call "slip trhough the cracks" as far as the new class structure so get to work on that Mopar lord knows Billy and the Cook Brothers did their homework....oh and its not the 1st time (Shelby) ! By the way I too have a 69 Camaro C/SA / B/SA car with a brand new Tilburg motor and its exactly 1 second slower...unreal. Just tryin to give these guys a little credit for building a class piece that hauls ### !

Always up for holiday cocktails Anthony you and I need to get together for a few days in AC. But Bo you better put your glasses back on this combo like Charley said previously can run A B OR C remember we don't have a blower dual overhead cams etc just a fuel injected 428. Heck they can go SS/GA OR FA and kill the record with less hp than stock lol ! 141mph and there is more.... less than 10 runs on a brand new car that actually works like a new Mustang should thanks to Ken Keir it looks like Rock Haas' SS car leavin. How many new STOCKERS do you see leave with both wheels 4ft in the air and have a 1.25 60 ft ? Just trying to point out that these guys picked a good combo and made it work thats what its all about....I am not saying some of these new combos aren't underfactored but its not like the Hawk/Cook car is the only combo like that running either. Look at Bob Shaw Bob Dennis Monteith etc. they race smart and know how to pick a combo and make it fast. Thats what its all about......

Everybody put that in your pipe and smoke it.....Whoa that might noy be legal next year but you get the message. 141mph and we aint even close.... less than 10 runs on a brand new car that actually works like a new Mustang should thanks to Ken Keir it looks like Rock Haas' SS car leavin. It's not hard to make an underfactored combo run fast. Stop bragging. If the Camaro you say you have ran that fast, then you would have a reason to spout off.

look at the last page that list the expiration dates on all safety equipment. it shows 2 years on nets.
