I WAS THERE!! Still the fastest my car has ever been. If anyone has them or knows where to get them, I would love to see qualifying sheets from that race.

No I wasn't there...but have a question concerning #2 SS qualifier...

How does one get a '67 Nova into SS/NA...or is that a typo...wrong car, etc?

NO 283's in '67 Nova, right?

Would anyone do it today? It seems now there is an assault on those setting records. :-(

I heard rumors people were taking weight out as scales measured heavy, and the mph numbers were short. Any truth to that?

Wow! If all the factory supercars were there now, and they hooked and showed their hand, wonder what the Qualifying Sheets would have looked like?

283-195 Hp 2 barrel carburetor in all but a wagon, could fit L, M, and N. A wagon could fit M, N, and O.

Hey Lynn, I was there. The weather was just that fast. Slight tail wind good track etc. We had our car in bracket mode. It was allot of fun especially tear down. All the car were lined up in the staging lanes angled toward each other, there was a line to have the heads carb etc checked. It was the first time I saw a SS/K 283 run a 9! Tyler Cassel was there to run it with Robin Brown. Tyler 10.02, Robin 9.98? The scales were close. I always ran on the safe side. It was fun watching people working hard to run hard, on purpose. Fun times. The MPH for my car was very close to what I had been running, nothing funny for me.
