Prayers for Brody Bernshausen
 

Brody crashed at Stlouis in his dads (larry) dragster.
He is in the hospital tonight undergoing tests.He's alert is all I know.Has some memory lapse. Please say a prayer for him.

Brody will be in my prayer and thoughts.
Larry is a great guy, I have not had the pleasure to meet Brody.
Hope all goes well keep us posted.

Brody has a concussion and a broken bone in his nose. Tests came back ok.
Larry is probably shook up more than Brody now.
Prayers are still and always needed.

Lee I was there . Had 2 hits Sat. and all the new stuff worked well. Sat around sunday with rain mist. I left and they did run. Pits were really wet but the track was awsome Sat. and Sun. Call me on the fuel when you get a chance. Gonna need by indy if possible.

Hate to hear about Uncle Lar's an Brodys bad luck.Hate when Something like this happens. Brody has been racing great, heard he got down to 6 cars on Sat nite. Hope they are out soon, if there is anything we can do please call.

The rescue people said that Brody was pounding the steering wheel in anger when they got to him. He wanted to get out himself but they would not let him.

He did great the entire weekend,

It was not fun putting the crashed car back in Larry's trailer. The Gebhardt chassis held up very well though, especially after looking at the impact on the wall.

Sorry to hear about Brody, but glad to hear he is ok. They have wrecked a lot of cars at that race! They should run it later in the year.

Glad to hear that Brody is generally OK. Any idea what caused the wreck? Just poor conditions as somebody insinuated?

Anyway, hang in there Bernshausen family....Brody will be back out there in no time...

Should be heading home tonight. Larry seems to think a slick went flat. I had no problems with the track at over 150 and Bowman 5770 was running 172 in his vette in sg.with no issues. Brody went 6 rds sat night in the bracket program.The track was said to be better sun. than sat.

cant say as to sunday as they canceled the bracket race but sat the track seemed great to me. I was down to 3 cars in pro sat night, it might have given up a little in my last round due to the cool temps but overall I thought it was pretty good. Where was he at when things went wrong (ie 1/8. 1000, finsish line)? Like I wrote we did not run sunday so I cannot speak for then but sat seemed good to me

I may have to retract my past statment about the track condition. Sound like it was in great shape. I just know in years past I have seen many cars wreck at this race due to track conditions. Glad the track was good for everyone. It sounds as if Brody may have had other issues. I am just glad he is ok. Cars can be replaced!

Ryan, he didn't get to come home till today (tues).
Seems like the dragsters had more problems than the door cars, usually the other way around.
Ready to fire up the bird yet?Have your scoop this weekend.

With us being gone all last week I didn't have much time to work on it. Shelli, Rylli and I are going over there tonight. They are going to work on getting the RV ready and I am going to work on getting everything hooked up to the motor. The motor and trans are in and just need hooked up. I should have it fired up this weekend. Should have everything ready in time for Indy. Hope the weather is good.

The final diagnosis was a concussion with a broken pinky. Had two pins put in my finger Saturday night, which is one of the main reasons they had me stay. I don't recall any of that round of racing, and the whole weekend is kind of a blur, which some is saying it's a good thing. Was a good weekend up until that point and I just want to thank all those who have called, offered prayers, and especially those who helped my family at the track. Hope to be back out there soon!
