Re: Atco

Congrats to Dave on the win & to your bro for the crazy way under run!

To Bryan
FYI
I was going to go after a record but the main fuel line (a braided steel #10) from the pump to the front of the car split right in the middle and started a massive leak. I cut a section out and reconnected it but it sprang a leak in another spot. I couldn't get a new line delivered in time so I stayed home

So to all w/ injection & the high pressure fuel pumps.... check your fuel line and bring a spare w/ you.

Angelo had the car been sitting idle for some time ? I have seen the lines leak after a car has
been stored for awhile

Nothing out of the ordinary. The car had just sat inside in the garage over the winter while the motor was out being freshened. Just one of those things.

With the high pressure pump... it was more like a flood than a leak! I fired up the car to check the timing.... by the time I noticed it it was so bad I was ready to call the local airport to come in with the fire foam.

Re: Atco

Same thing happened to us when we fired up Byrons car. You are right when the high pressure springs a leak you have alot of fuel is a short time. We didn't have Bryans motor out over the winter and were able to run the fuel pump now and then. I think that helps to keep anything from drying out. It also helps to put some wd-40 into the fuel line and pump it around when you are not using anything for awhile.
