I have a construction business, and buy fairly large quantities of both red diesel, and highway diesel. My price fluctuates daily, because of the marketplace. This week, my red fuel is at 3.68 per gallon, and my highway fuel is at 4.11 per gallon. the difference is not that much. AND the newer diesel pickups do not like red fuel in them. The repair cost will more than compensate for the small savings. the other thing to consider, is that you would be cheating the state out of additional taxes, and big brother does not like competition when it comes to cheating and gouging the taxpayer. In my state, they will check for dyed fuel, and it is a 10g fine if caught. just my two cents......

That is what the NHRA registration site is showing however, I know that there is at least one less than shown from a no show. There could be a few more. Anyway what a low car count for Vegas. I was at the Divisional a few years back when there was over a 1000 cars there. What a difference a few years make.

This new ultra low sulfer fuel goes thru my John Deere's like water. The red fuel we use off road is $3.89 and the on road for the tri-axle is $4.35/gal. The farm sure is not doing well (drink more Milk) and now my logging business is caught up in the housing slump. Most election years have in the past been good money making times for a business like mine. Not this year. Since most race for "fun" the lack of extra spendable income has to effect our racing venues. I have sat out for a number of years and the way the economy is going it looks like this year will also be a bust. Best of luck to those fortunate enough to get out and race..........
