Who's car is that?
 

Does anyone know who owns the white '56 chev that cycles up on the top right of the class racer homepage? Is it the Hardy Boys old SS/N that ran back in the late seventies,early eighties?

Mike, We are waiting on a set of pistons from patterson, so it does not look like we will done in time, I am looking forward to getting out, last year we took off to restore the car, new paint, original interior and so on , if I go there on Saturday I will still look you up .

Hey Myron, I asked this same question some time ago with no reply but happy to know this now. Even though I'm a Ford person, I've got a weak spot for '56 Sedans BECAUSE of your car. I followed Terry like a shadow from pits to track back when they ran at OCIR. In fact, the night they shot the photos for the Popular Hot Rodding article I was standing next to the car while on the track. You could even say I was somewhat obsessed with it.. the way it looked, sounded, ran, burnouts, on and on. As a teenager I even built a model of it just by memory and would love to do it again. Do you have any photos you could share?

I have not ran my car since 1993 & am currently in the process of redoing it to run in SS/N & SS/O. Hoped to have it going this year but there are a lot of things it needs since it sat for so long. Will be ready spring 2009.
This is not the Alan Bowdish car.I bought this one in Montana as a daily driver back in 1986,did a body off frame restoration & built it as a SSer. Going to keep it as retro as I can & hopefully still be competitive.

Cool! I got a friend who wants to do a body-off on a '55 2-dr. post...the car has been sitting for years and now he's a grey-beard...not sure if he has the energy level now, LOL!!! He wants to know what class(es) you ran in the past with the car, the equipment, and what was performance? Thanks!

Myron, the car looks great. And I can say from experience his car is as clean and nice as they come and what a history. Can't wait to see the car after the most recent updates. Talk to you soon.

Do you have any pictures of your car that you can post. I am glad to see another shoebox joining us and especially with a stick. I can't tell from the picture is a 150 or a 210. Thanks again.

I will be able to post some pictures, but I have to find them first. We moved awhile back & they are in boxes somewhere in my loft as are other photos I need to look for. Work has been a bit wild lately & time has been very short.
Another thing I need is someone to tell me how to actually post pictures.

Robert,the car is an original 150 business man's coupe that came with no back seat,no rear window mechanisms,and one inside sun visor. Chevrolet sold it as their low end salesman coupe but I looked at it at the time as their lightweight "race" version. Shipping weight is a measly 3075 lbs. The only side chrome the car has is the chevrolet emblems on the front fenders.
