IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Division 2 Heat Wave Summit Pro-Am Tour Presented by Mr. Gasket and Thunder Jam Events at Carolina Dragway Rescheduled for One Week Later - September 19-21, 2008
http://www.ihra.com/article/2512.html Are you kidding me? I understand not wanting to conflict the new Charlotte NHRA Nat'l event, but putting it on top of IHRA's own Nat'l at Toronto? They already rescheduled the rained-out Mooresville Pro-Am on top of the Milan Pro-Am. I try to support as many events as I can, but it makes it tough when they schedule on top of their own events! $.02, |

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Hey Micheal,
How about you going to Toronto? You usually kick butt at Jackson! I bet I could even pass a collection jar in the pits and get you some gas money for going North! |
Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
This is great for me, since the previous week was on top of both local bracket points weekend and an NHRA divisional. Now I can go get smoked in H/R - see you there.

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
It seems like everyone I race in NHRA S/ST went to Staples this year...on the other hand brackets has been reasonably enjoyable in the W-L ratio. Anyway I really like the track and wish it wasn't 20 miles from a hotel and Applebee's. It's probably the only IHRA race I'll go to this year.

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Dear Duck, just a little food for thought. There is a very nice Malibu(former Wayne Gooden car) sitting in my enclosed trailer just waiting for a motor. It could be done in time for a trip down south later in the summer or fall and I think you remember what happens when JOE COOL puts his mind to something. It might be better for you to go North. See ya soon(LOL), Mike

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Yup. Believe it or not, I've still got your #35 decals in the back of the truck, in case I run into you somewhere. ;-) Oh, and I get asked about the Duckbrella everywhere I go (when it rains at least). I always tell people that no one is smiling when it's raining at a race track, but the Duckbrella normally gets them to crack a smile.
Get to work! It'd be good to see you out again. |
Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Send me 5k or find me a sponser and we will be out in a week or two. (LOL) Mike. Hope to see you soon, take care.

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Michael you going to Mooresville? You just might see "Joe Cool" their driving a car with two extra doors & with an engine that has two less cyl! ;)

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Yup. H*ll, I *have* to, since IHRA rescheduled the Mooresville rainout on top of the Milan Pro-Am, which I would've gone to otherwise, but now I'd have to pay $100 to transfer two entries to two different tracks. Which brings us back to the original point - why reschedule around other events, but put your own races on top of your own events?

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
Michael, trust me I'm not trying to be a smart ***, but have you asked anyone with IHRA what their reasoning was for stacking these events? There might be a sensible answer, check with whomever is in charge of making this type of a call. Mike

Re: IHRA Div. 2 - Carolina
It sure would have been nice if they moved the Mooresville rainout to Piedmont and made Piedmont a double...then there would be no conflicts and one less weekend of travel. You guys should have sounded off then maybe IHRA would have listened!
