It is currently a good day to make a Pro Stock debut! :)

Current weather in the area is 70* F, Dew pt. 60* Humidity 70% and a baro of 30.00"hg. Pretty sure the humidity will burn off.

Isaac,

The questions is,

"WHO is responsible for manning the camera to record the mile wide smile that's going to be stretched across his face?"

Have fun Lee, I know you're really looking forward to this.

Unk

That probably would be me, but I'm currently on the front-half of a 16 hour workday running these engines. ;(
Hopefully SOMEONE is documenting this! Need one in the staging area and one at shut-down!

This really is exciting. I wasn't going to go to E-town, but now I'm bringing a friend or two to see Pro Stock qualifying on Saturday.

Best of luck to Lee and crew.

It's Jack Gaydosh's car. Take a look here. 2007 Pontiac GTO

Why is pro stock only a 12 car field? Is that the norm now?

starting this year only the top 12 pro cars are qualified on friday. This leaves 4 spots to be filled on saturday. They did this so if you did not get a good run in the the good fri. night air you still have a shot of making the field.

Re: Congradulations to Lee Zane

I think Jack bought this car from Yates. He is on a very modest budget just living a dream. Good job for Lee to step up with his driving accomplishments for a driving spot, I heard they wouldnt let Jack enter the car himself. They told him P/S was full? Dont know if that is a rumor or reality.

Re: Congradulations to Lee Zane

A lot of the S/SS racers went to the stands to watch Lee make his first pass in a Pro Stock car at a National event. It was great! He left first and went straight down the track. 6.98 and 197 mph as I remember. Lee did not make the field but he sure as hell proved that he can handle one of those little rockets.
