Jeff Lee from IHRA

Hi Everyone,

This is Jeff Lee from IHRA. Not the other Jeff Lee known for causing trouble here. I made a post yesterday and the moderator bounced me thinking I was him. We got it all worked out last night though. So no worries.

I'm just saying Hi and clearing up to anyone who might be confused that I am not the other Jeff Lee! I will redo my post in a bit, and please note that the webmaster has posted the Knoll-Gas Nitro Jam event registration link on the top of the page next to the IHRA logo.

Thank you,

I noticed your post yesterday, and that it was up for about 3 minutes.
For a second I thought maybe HD had bought classracer too.[:-laughing-:]

Welcome Jeff, and thanks for posting the event registration link. Any possibility that we'll be able to register and pay for Summit Pro-Am series events on-line anytime soon???

We would like to have Pro-Am registration online. It is in the works for the future.

Thanks,

Awesome. I can't wait until I can pre-register and pay for EVERY event that I'm going to attend so that I never have to visit a credentials trailer again...

Now if I could only do tech inspection via the Internet...

I have always had a good time at IHRA events. I just renewed my membership for the third year. I have attended the Presidents Cup at MIR every year. The only improvement is, IHRA needs more 1/4 mile tracks. Please try to aquire more 1/4 mile facilities. I realize this is not an easy task. Thanks.

Jeff, is there any way you can help get a divisional back at Quaker City? Say this year!?!?! Thank you and welcome.

Jason, Not sure if you know it, but thought I'd remind eveyrone about IHRA quicktech. You get teched in at the first race of the year, or at your chosing, and there is a sticker put on your rollbar, and you get your copy of the tech sheet. Then, during that season you can just take your copy, plus your tech card to the tech trailer on your scooter. Don't even have to unload the car. Very convenient. ( not sure what all classes this covers, but at least SS thru hot rod )
If you change something major during the year your suppose to get re-teched.
I guess a little bit of the honer system there, OR you could say showing some respect and treating racers like grown-ups.
The Quick Teck expires with your belt expiration date also, even if in the middle of the year.

I happen to like the other Jeff Lee and think this is a cheap shot not funny at all. At least he has the balls to post with his real name unlike so many others on here.

Mike Mayhew 06-09-2007 11:27 AM

I was trying to remember what the >>other<< Jeff Lee had done wrong. I don't remember anything. Is that the SS racer Jeff Lee ?
But making a guess about the remarks of the IHRA Jeff Lee, this is his first post, well second since the first was removed. And by his remarks it seems IHRA Jeff Lee is only going by what our moderator has told him about Jeff Lee # 1. I had wondered about that though.
I'm going to Home Depot and spend some of my net earnings now.[:-happy2-:]

For the record I meant no disrespect at all to the other Jeff Lee. It was not a cheap shot and I apologize if anyone took it that way.

I was just clarifying that I was not him, and explaining that the mistaken identity and him being banned is what led to my original post and my account being deleted.

Like I said we worked it out.

When will IHRA add the car classifications to the web site? How do I look up information on what class a Pure stock car runs?

Rod Greene 06-09-2007 09:45 PM

For somebody that is supposed to be involved in Media relations you should have been smarter than to refer to someone as a trouble maker when you had no information to confirm it. Why disparage someones reputation?

your right Rod....His feeble attempt at backpedalling is like trying to take back a fart......he can say what he wants, but it still stinks............

ihradotcom 06-10-2007 12:08 AM

I am trying to be diplomatic, but the bottom line here is that the guy was banned from this site. I don't know the details but clearly something happened.

The only reason it affected me was because we share the same name.

Anyhow, this subject is closed on my end.

Mike,

Well, if I was aware of this program, I had forgotten about it. I'll have to do this at my first race because once the season starts, I rarely change anything on the car. Not having to unload and be tech'd in would be REALLY nice...

Thanks for the info!

I don't know about a Quaker City Pro-Am this year. That's not a question for me.

The ATI (Annual Tech Inspection) program is pretty neat. Next time you go to an IHRA event, ask the tech guys about it. I don't have a dedicated webpage for it up on the site right now, but that is something I can make happen.

I would expect not... even so, it's very quick and painless to get your IHRA Annual Tech Inspection. One and done, good to go.

I talked to Skooter today about the QCR Points meet and they are working on it. Not a great chance for this year, but definately next year. Hopefully they can get it worked out.
