Div. 3 Fall Classic info
 

Where can I find the info on the Fall Classic at Indy. Checked the NHRA and division 3 websites and found nothing (however, I'm not very good at finding things). Thanks.....Damien

The fall classic info doesn't usually appear until sometime in late Sept. ORP website has it (Oct. 10th – 12th Sportsman Fall Classic) SST usually has about 20 cars sometimes less. Friday and Saturday is time runs and Sunday is eliminations. Saturday they have a bracket race for all. Hope this helps.

What races are usually held during the open? Do they have a stock/superstock combo race, Top Stock and Top Superstock race and also the normal category races for all classes?

This is a Div 3 Open race Just like St.Louis in April

Yes you do receive a grading point. The only thing bad about the fall classic is the weather. It is hit or miss.

Boo Boo is right about hit and miss

2 years ago it hit 34* for first round on Sunday and you miss seeing the Sun all day long :eek:

But it could also be nice... you never know what could happen

Damien, all home division races are jegs all star pts earning races only, all opens and divisionals earn pts for their individual championships and either open or div. race will get you 1 grading pt. each as long as you pass tech.

I don't think you can earn points for this race, atleast I know in Comp you can't. I believe for lack of a better term its a "fun" race.

OK, so here we are a couple weeks away and I'm still trying to decide if I want to go or not! I know there was a schedule in ND, but I lost it. :mad: So, can anyone shed a little light on this event for me? Payout :confused: Contingencies :confused: Entry :mad: I assume with TT on Sat there is really no reason to be there on Friday? Thanks again!!!

Damien, IRP is showing it as a three day event. Don't really know much else, and still don't know if I'm going yet..........................

You don't have to have any grading points to enter the race. My dad is going to race it this year to get a point, just in case he wants to run s/g once next year.

National Dragster, Sept. 5'th on page 48. Gates open on Friday at 8am, I think last year we got two passes on Friday. Gates open 7am on Sat. and first round is Sunday morning for every one. Entry fee is 100.00 for all NHRA classes. Super Street pays 800.00-w, 500.00 rup,and 50.00 round money starting 3rd round. J. Gower stock 3058

You run both, thats what makes it worth while, bracket race on Saturday and .90 race on Sunday.

You run .90 and bracket time trials on Saturday, bracket race Saturday late afternoon and early evening, and .90 on Sunday. Cool race.

Last time i was there 2 years ago, Sunday morning 1st round @ 9:00am it was 39*. No problem with over heating the car.....

Lee, Theres definately been some cold mornings at that race! Couple years ago the furnace went out in the Motor Home....Burrrrrrrr

No doubt it will be cold and you are in Indy... so definitely windy.
