I read where 5 new NHRA records were set at this weekends Oahe Speedway NHRA National Open in Pierre, SD:

SS/NA - Rick Ryan
GT/IA - Ron Roddel
SS/K - Matt Steen
B/SA - Steve Koppien
I/SA - Steve Hutar

Anyone have times...

I think it may have been the 'blue' combo, one never knows for sure.

What were the 'actual' runs, without the correction factor?

Use 1.0195 for the factor. Both days, the track was reading no better then 3400'. We still have not had "mine shaft" conditions. That ever happens, watch out!

Here's a pic of 'Roddel on the Throttle' the week before in Marion, S.D. at the Midwest Class Racers Stock& Super Stock event.

The suave, debonaire' dude at the rear of Roddy is the new B/SA record holder, Steve Koppien..aka: 'The Older Gentleman in the Blue Camaro'.

Jerry and Rick Ryan's 'other' SS/NA car ('64 Chevelle wagon) from the same event. Jerry shivers in the grey sweatshirt while son Rick is warm and toasty in the car. The 'suave and debonaire' comments also apply to Jerry, of course.

Hell "hadto", Ron's still a pup compared to the old fart (closer to the truth than suave and debonaire) in the "grey sweatshirt".

Al, you forgot about our other "other" SS/NA car. That'd be Kandra's Olds which we ran at Oahe in No Box and Pro. Rick was runner-up in Pro on Sunday by .001 at the stripe.

Thanks to all the class racers that stopped by Oahe last weekend. We had a great turn out and it is our hope the annual Aaron Koppien Memorial Stock/Super Stock Combo will continue to grow and become THE S/SStk race to attend in the Upper Midwest.

Great job Jerry and Rick. Steve way to show every one where the baddest B/SA is at. Mr Steve Hutar you have that big boat flying nice to see that.

Any one know what combo Steve Hutar is running. I assume he has the 325 or 350 HP 396.

Yes, Steve has a 396/325 engine in that boat. He tried (in vain) for years to make the 427/335 engine work. Congratulations to all!
