Prayers for the LEGEND
 

Chip Johnson is in the hospital. He couldn't even stay for the Bracket Finals at Rockingham he got so bad. Luckily, Laura made him go to the hospital. It was his gall bladder.

Chip just called and said that they got the surgery done. They had to cut it out vs a lipo-type deal, so they want to keep him for about a week, and it'll be a couple weeks recovery time, but he said to tell y'all that "It'll take a little more than a gall bladder to keep the Legend down." He's weak right now, but they'll take care of him. Good timing, as he figured he was about done racing for the year anyway. New and Improved Legend coming in '09!

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

You need to take care of your body as well as you take care of your race cars. Start a maintenance program now and we'll see you on the trail next year....get well soon.

Hi Chip,

Glad to hear that the surgery went well. Heal up now and get your strength back and we'll be looking to seeingt you at the Rockingham Pro Am in Feb. or early March. Haven't seen the new schedule yet.

Chip just a day on two off of good planning...;) now ya have all winter to heal so you & the H/R car can kick butt next year! :) Oh & don't be a HARD HEAD do what the Dr.s tell ya....the shop will be OK till ya get back. Rember your a grand-dad now you have alot of people that count on ya! I'll C-ya @ Farmington or Mooresville in the spring...I'll bring the cool-aid you bring the "stories" ;)

I'm Home. I got sick at the Bracket finals and went home. Monday Lara carried me to the XPRESS care unit of the hospital. They sent me to ER. After a weeks stay at the Luxurious CAPE FEAR VALLEY I got a 6 inch scar and no Gall bladder.
They let me go Friday night and said I would be down 2-4 weeks. My racing is done for this year too.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers we still need them.
