This will be the third season we will use and sell Rocket fuel. It shows performance gains in our stock and superstock engines over VP and Torco. We have been very pleased with the performance of our cars, and our customers have as well.

There is no one in the industry more knowledgeable than Jack, Tim and Lee at Rockett. These guys were w/ Unocal 76 when this fuel was developed and now they market the same fuel under the Rockett Brand name. They worked w/ all of the NHRA and Nascar teams over the last 30 or so years to refine their fuel to be the best. My engine builder has dyno'd everything from traditional stocker engines, crate motor stock, splayed/comp/modified type engines w/ success at all levels. Like travis, I have used Rockett for the last 5 years and found it to be not only a good source for power but consistency as well. Shoot me an e-mail if you have questions, tr@daughtridgeenergy.com.

This is the first year I have ran Rockett Brand Race Fuel and I won't use anything else. All of my customers
love it and become more consistent because of it. We have a couple of Wallys this year to show for it. Look out for the Wheels Up Racing Team next year.

Re: Rockett brand fuels-

Product for product Rockett is actually cheaper than VP by the drum.
We have been using Rockett since day one. We were actually using Union 76 until NHRA thew them out.
The very short time we used VP we almost always seemed to have issues or knew someone who was having issues with VP.
Since switching over to Rockett we have NEVER failed fuel check in NHRA or IHRA, set records, won class, and or have been #1 qualifier.
Best product out there for what we do (S/SS).
No brag, just fact! Just ask any of the dozens of racers we gave FREE gas to try.

You wont be disappointed with Rockett. They have a first class operation and Tracey is a first class guy. Since we have switched to it, we have been tickled to death. The customer support is second to none as well. The quality control is far superior to anyone weve seen.

Re: Rockett brand fuels-

Tracy, I need some imput on what which one to use? It is a bbc that is 9.5 to 1 and has about 170 psi cold cranking comp. It is a old Topstock 502 crate engine. The only change is that it has a dualplane intake and a q-jet carb. Also do they sell 55 gal. drums? It is a bracket car so it does"nt need to pass a fuel test. Thank you for the help.

Re: Rockett brand fuels-

Hey J,
I also work with Rockett and we do sell 55 gal. drums. We had a 502 on the dyno in October and tested it with our 111 and 114. I believe it was a 10 to 1 motor and there wasn't alot of difference between the two. For the price I would rec the 111. You can cal me @ 443-207-2961 or Tracy if you have any questions

Re: Rockett brand fuels-

Tracy quoted me some good prices. I am trying to put together something , right away.

What troubles have some of you had with VP, other than prices ? I have never had any trouble with C-11 at the table for the past 3 yrs. They always tell me, "you're good !" I keep mine in dark colored jugs and replace the o ring in the cap every year so far. I never leave it out in the sunlight either. But , then again, I havent bought any by the barrel( C-11) yet either, so that may make some difference.

Shawn, where do you get Rockett up here in the Northwest? I`ve been buying VP C12 by the drum for several years now, and it`s always passed fuel check, even after some sat in the cars stock gas tank over the winter. The only time I ever had any trouble with VP was when I first started running the car, and was using their red "budget" fuel, Motorsport 110 .

Re: Rockett brand fuels-

Hey Rory, a friend of mine ordered three barrels at the beginning of last year from a dealer in Oregon. I will be ordering some more for this year. I could get you a barrel when I order or at least let you try some to see if you like it! If I recall it was around 450.00 a drum for the 111 Rockett last year.
