Shocking sad news! :( It was always good to see Jim's smiling face at the end of the day, because that means you probably won something. Had some good early morning chats with him at the Bracket Finals last year.

Sorry to hear that also. I never minded having to buy those photos off of him. He seemed to really love the sport, that is something that we should all take from him.

Jim always added to any event he attended. He will be greatly missed! We always looked forward to his visits to us at Silver Dollar.

This is such a shock -- I thought he was in perfect health.

Shocking news. He was a great friend. Dad and I met him in the early 80's at the IHRA races and became good friends. When you were down about your's or the car's performance, Jim always had a way to put a smile on your face.

Jim was a very good friend,he never tried to sell you more pictures than he though you might want. I will miss his smile,god bless you jim.

Not gonna be the same without Jim around...Glad I got to spend some time with him this year and I sure will miss seeing that smile and hearing that laugh. Godspeed Jim and my prayers are with your family.

i'm at a loss for words. i remember his party's every friday night before the norwalk banquet. jim will be missed.

Hate to hear this shocking and sad news. Saw Jim this past summer at Quaker City and got to catch up. Just goes to show you how short life truely is. Gonna miss ya big Jim.

boles funeral home in southern pines nc, is making the arraingments. there will not be a viewing, there will be a service friday 11/28/08 3.00pm at the methodist church in pine bluff nc.

About six months ago I was looking through my old photos and found this one taken in 1988 at an IHRA points race held at my local track. I looked on the back of the photo and it had Jim's name, address, and phone number on it. I wondered if he might have any more photos of my car at that race and called the phone number, it was no longer in service.

R.I.P. Jim.

Very sad. I bought a gazillion pictures from Jim. I bought my HR car from his ex-brother in law. He always made a point to come by and ask how the Ex's car was doing with a laugh.

The picture of him was taken this past season at Farmington with his own camera. The reason i know this is he gave a racer his camera to take a picture of me and Robert Kinton with him .They just cut out both sides ommitting both me and Robert ,but you can still see Robert's hand on Jim's shoulder . I have this picture ,which was sent to me from Jim saying a reunion from the good ole days ,and that they were . Jim will really be missed..So so sad .Once again GOD SPEED /.
