PANTS FOR SUPERSTOCK All Classes

I saw a post earlier but now can't find it. Looks like all SS classes need pants to match their jacket. Also says 5 year re-cert?

Anyone care to clarify?

Do we wear them over shorts, pants, boxer shorts? What size do you order, similair to pants,? (No fat guy jokes) Great Christmas present but have no experience with sizes, any help would be appreciated.

Joe,
My experience has been if they fit the belly length will be wrong and right length won't fit the belly.
I bought Impact this year I like the stuff it fits real good. I'm 5/11-1/2 243weight big belly too. My pants are Impact xlg The fit the belly but were a bit long I had the length altered.

I would suggest ordering through a local speed shop. Then if they don't fit you can send them back and get some closer then have them altered.

Merry Christmas
Chip

Better seats are a great idea for stock, but only if mounted properly. Drilling holes through half rotted floor boards are not as safe as factory seats and tracks.

Do they allow one piece fire suits?

Sean, are there really that many "Flintstone" floors out there??

I was simply stating that I would be all for allowing aftermarket seats in stockers, if mounted like superstock cars, tied into cage. You know, "Mr 1664JA", like you have them mounted in your computer,er, I mean, car. Sorry for the mixup! LOL!

Note when having your items altered make sure they use fire retardant thread. If you think about it is the best idea even if some tech inspectors may not catch it. Once when I was tech-ing my car the new bee tech guy shook my coat like money was going to fall out and inspected everything about it. Mind you he found no money.

I certainly do not want you men out there to complain to much about fit when they shove us women into your sizes and the only way to avoid it is to pay the big bucks for a custom jacket and pant.

Not that I would ever put myself into hot pink jacket but they are selling a hot pink color non custom MAN’s sized jacket from Summit for a mere additional $98.04 from R.J.S. LOL

Well, that's one way to keep people from wearing pajama pants or quick-melting running pants.

You can call me Mark.....or just 1664SSJA..... no need for the "Mr" prefix.

I mean.... Unless you REALLY want to....

And BTW.............. I don think the rules stop you from tying your stock seat into the cage if you want. But fix your rotted floors first huh?

Thinkin....................in an NHRA kinda way

Mr. Mark,

I didn't say anything about stock seats being tied into cages. I said aftermarket seats being tied into cages.

Now, who's thinkin' in a NHRA kinda way? Do us a favor, and use the eyes God gave you, and read my original post.....

Ain't nothing rusty on any Cour car.

My ol Wagon, on the other hand, is being held together by the factory bench seat. I recovered it and added new carpet just to keep tech guys from looking under it-LOL.

I understood what Sean wrote-I guess I must be thinking too clearly. I'll read it again after a few beers.

No, this is the post I wanted you to reread. You, have yet to read it and fully understand what is being stated. Then I reitterated what you could not fully comprehend in my second post. Which, is the one I used to draw you a picture.

Now I'm through with this BS. If you want to take it further, PM me.

As for the quality of my cars, ask anybody who knows me or my cars. Rust is something you will not find anywhere on my ****!!!!!!

You are always allowed an upgrade past what is required, which a one-piece would surely be at least a 3.2A5

I bought a 3.2A1 pair of pants large enough to fit over my jeans, and use suspenders.....very nice over a set of lounging shorts in the summer, exit vehicle, drop pants, walk out of them.

Some guys would forget to put on the lounging shorts Dave

Re: PANTS FOR SUPERSTOCK All Classes

It appears that the NHRA has thrown the safety companies a biscuit...Stock and Super Stock racers. A close friend of mine races Super Street and he doesn't even have to wear fire pants unless he runs over 135 MPH, yet I'll have to wear them to run my stocker in '09. And just 2 years ago we were wearing T-shirts and jeans. It gets a bit confusing when you run NHRA, IHRA and brackets like I do...lets see, what do I have to wear now?

Re: PANTS FOR SUPERSTOCK All Classes

I'll know for sure in January, but I read it as ALL racers 11.49 and quicker, 3.2A1 okay down to 10.00

Thank your buddies racing in the pajama pants for this one!

On the original subject........I got a pair of Impact 3.2A5 pants from Jegs. I wear 36 (a little loose) X 32 pants and size XL fits me perfectly, over my jeans.
