.90 racing at Norwalk

I spoke with Billy at the Norwalk banquet this past weekend and he expressed quite a bit of interest in doing some .90 races. Who would support it and what suggestions do you have? I'm sending him the link to this forum so if you are interested speak up!! Also, list what class you run.

I would run 8.90 and probably all 5 (3-8.90 1-9.90 and 1-10.90) of the Bayus cars would come with me.

To far to haul for a one day race in S/ST. Trails is a lot closer..

Count My Dad and I in for 10.90 two cars and 8.90 one car. Would go for saturdays or sundays, to close to home to not run 90 races at norwalk.

Count us in... No offense to Columbus, but I'd rather be at Norwalk than Trails any day.

Count me in for a 10.90 entry.

As for suggestions-

I agree that Saturdays would be better than Sundays.

I would like to suggest that they allow throttle stops in Super Pro so that those of us who want to run both classes can run our .90 set up in both.

I would also like to ask if Nitrous would be allowed in in the .90 categories.

I would also like to have all my competitors pad thier box with 50 numbers of delay.

I would also like to ask for at a minimum I recieve 2 to 3 bye runs per event.

I would also like to ask for Buy backs for myself only.

And lastly in the event I lose the final round, I woudl like to re-run until I win.

Thanks for your careful attention to my needs!

Would love to get back to running @ Norwalk -Won my 1st National there, not to mention the ice cream, who could forget the ice cream?! LOVE that place!

Unfortuanately my schdule would only allow me to go in end of June & all of July. So if there's one or any then, I'm in!!!

I think 8.90 racing at Norwalk would be a great idea. I currently have to go to Columbus to use my throttle stop and would much prefer to go to Norwalk.

Re: .90 racing at Norwalk

We will go, but main thing we are committed to Columbus dates, to all I see on here talking, remember Columbus & Jim Layton and his group has stuck through the Super classes through thick and thin car counts and I think everybody should help keep both tracks going with their Super programs.
Hopefully Norwalk or whom ever is heading up the Norwalk Super deal doesnt set the dates on top of Columbus. That is not good for either track.

Re: .90 racing at Norwalk

I just checked Trail's schedule. I am surprised to see they have decided to go with a full schedule of thier Super Series. The last I heard, they were only going to run 2 of them, and pull the plug if they didn't get enough cars.

I read on DRR that some folks are putting together a big bucks .90 race at Edgewater this year also.

That place will be a gravel pit by 2010.............

Re: .90 racing at Norwalk

Bill, a bunch of us loyal super class racers went to a meeting at National Trails office and talked Jim Layton and his staff into running it again.

We really hope we can get the car counts where they need to be to keep this great series going into the future.

we also talked about changes that would be made to make sure everything is great at each event.

Re: .90 racing at Norwalk

June 20-21 JEGS Super Series at Trails Race 1 & 2
July 18. JEGS Super Series at Trails Race 3
Sept. 12-13 JEGS Super Series at Trails Race 4 & 5
Oct 4. JEGS Super Series at Trails Race 6

Bill Hoskinson 02-02-2009 06:13 PM

Re: .90 racing at Norwalk

Joe, I live less than a mile away from Trails, so I'll be there for the Super Series I was doing pretty well in SST last year until I lifted a head gasket at the 4th race.

If Norwalk has a series, I'll run it also as long as the dates allow it.
