'90 Plymouth Voyager BF/SA info wanted

So I have officially found my project.

Tommorow i am going to go pick up a '90 Voyager. In great shape too. It should be a fun project, and maybe when i'm done i can say i built my own stock eliminator car. Plus it should be just plain comical racing a minivan.

1990 Dodge Caravan 153 C.!./2.5 Liter Turbo 150 h.p./175 NHRA rated H.P.

Not sure if the motor is going to be completely gone through for the first go around. I'll probably make up my mind after a leak down test.

So i thought i'd throw this out here for some brainstorming.....

My goals for this project are to spend as little and do as much of the work myself as possible.

I plan on doing this over the next six months to a year so that there will be ample time to go test & tune.

It's in the garage with a broken transmission. I'm layed off so i probably will not be racing it much, if at all, this season. This van is just something to keep me busy, and have some fun.

Powerglides are cheap. You should be able to find one.

Bill Howell's turbo-4 minivan was a vehicle that qualified #1 on several different occasions. He's a great guy and would probably love to talk to you about the car. He's a long-time racer and an avid supporter of NHRA Stock Eliminator.

Rob Lloyd, who's on here is also a wealth of information on these cars. He actually chipped a computer for my Shadow based off of his stocker's program.

Bill will you be at any div 2 races with the van? I saw you last year at the Gators. I walked myself skinny trying to find your pits. Rest assured I gained all the weight back, lol.

I wish I had enough scratch to buy Bill's van. I think the idea of racing a van, a quick one at that, sounds like a ton of fun, plus it'd be a good companion to the wife's Chrysler. I could probably build both for less than the Aspen!
