Entry Fees for 2009

Anyone heard anything about entry fees for Div 1 races this year...going up or staying the same ?

With everything else I wouldnt be surprised to see an increase...

Another reason to race "elsewhere"...$170 to enter to win 2500 or so...

Dave,
I'm down in Florida Racing in Div 2 and last week I paid $170 in Bradenton and today I paid $160 for Gainesville, Looks like no help from NHRA for the Sportsman Racers.

Yep....For most guys I dont think you're gonna get much more for a Div win...maybe 3K at best, especially today with so many sponsers dropping out or you having to have purchased within the last few years...

Re: Entry Fees for 2009

It is for these reasons seems more and more racers are turning to either a local heads up series, or traveling but for the big $$$ bracket races.

I know for me, I can run a few divisionals close to home, but still cost well over $800. for the weekend. Another issue I have is with the div. schedule itself, I work as a substitute teacher, and get considerably less than a low paid teacher does. Here in Div. 2 there are 4 races inside of 7 weeks, then throw in the Gators, and the Sportsnationals. I have to work and save all year just to race for a little over 2 months.

Another reason I went to Alcohol...140 a drum..ok so I use twice as much..that means 280 compared to how much for a drum of C12 at 11 bucks a gallon ? Close to 600 ? Not to mention the other benefits..

Frank I was tried of running @ 9:00 pm or being skipped.
Plus I want to go faster and the car should be more consistent with less time in the stop and as low as my car sits I can see them (NOW). I also need the grading points for E-TOWN S/C
I'll still run gas @ MASGA

Bill, I bought beer FIRST!

Eddie, it's kinda cold. 54

I think drinking alcohol and sitting in the stands watching dumb asses like us pay for this is the way to go.

31 Saturday Morning, what kinda Florida is this? They stoped racing after they crashed the first Super Street guy, then took away a SC and SG qualifier, NICE!
