1969 Plymouth Suburban Wagon

I found this on craigslist in Plant City. It has a 318 2 barrel, no ac or pb and has an automatic. At least in the pics it looks decent. How's this as a stocker? Was a 4 barrel optional on this? I'm not a mopar expert but if the combo is good, maybe, just maybe.......I'm up all night and I will be checking classracer from time to time so don't be shy and give me some info. STOCKERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick.

Got out the rulebook and went to NHRA site to check it out, and this is what I see.......Can't be run as a 318 car in stock. Comes in at V, V is 4 and 6 cyclinder only, but O in super stock. This is all based as this running as a Fury1 wagon. according to the website they came with 2 different 383's (290/330 factory, 290/295 NHRA ) and 440(350 factory,350 NHRA). both 383's and 440 run 906 heads and 431/443 cam. 440 runs same intake as 375 motor and uses a Holley. Car must weigh 4312 as a Fury1 station wagon 2s. Mopar guys help me on this. I don't know if this is worth even thinking about. 4312 is alot of weight to be pulling around. 383 would be an N, 440 would be I. 8 3/4 rear, 904 trans, 440 350 horse I/SA wagon would be cool. STOCKER MOPAR WAGONS RULE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Rick.

The transmission would be a 727; no 904's hook up to a B or RB Block; wrong bellhousing bolt pattern. $ound$ like a job for Pro-Tran$....

Would be a cool car to have. The 350 hp 440 is same factored hp as 375 hp engine. The factory 350 hp is not as good of a piece for a comparison. Less cam I know, compression may be off too. Don't know the comparison between the two 4-bbl cars.

The only performance minded station wagons by mopar are a max wedge and hemi car in 66 or something. To my knowledge, they never put the 440 magnum or six pac in a wagon.

Since this post has all the Mopar guys attention, got a question........... (and i think i'm right)
I had a guy this week arguing with me on the phone saying he knows a 67 , yes i said 67 Cuda came with a hemi. So you guys pounce on this subject, lol. In my records 383 was the big motor for that rider in 67.

The test mule was a 67, so he is kind of right.

The test mule was a 67 Cuda the engineers pulled off the assembly line
and hand built.

Other than that:

1967 cuda came with /6, 273 V8 or 383 V8.

1968 cuda came with /6, 318 V8, 340 V8 or 383 V8

1969 cuda came with /6, 318 V8, 340 V8 or 440 V8

You're right, 383 was the biggest you could get in 1967 got to go to '68 for the Hemi....but what if he has a '68 and thinks it's a '67, gotta be worth looking at.
