Live From Orlando

Here are some picks in the staging lanes just before the first qualifying shot for stock. Also, one pick from Sal Biondo, he will be driving Bill Hawks car this weekend. I will try to give everyone a feel for how the race is going, but I'm a little busy working on the race car, I will do the best I can.
The weather is great, mostly sunny and 75. There is a slight head cross wind, maybe 4-5 mph. The altitude when we ran was 1200 ft. I hope to have some more picks and info later today. |
Re: Live From Orlando

Steve, it looks that way but I do not have any details.
Wish I could give everyone some pit rumors or any other interesting things going on down here. I have been working on my car, I have not talk to many racers. I did have time to take more pictures. The racers that I have talk to are just happy to be here away from the cold and the snow that hit the northeast. The weather is great, the track is super. As you can see from the qualifying, its pretty good here. Second round for stock and super stock was about 1 to 2 hundreds slower for most us. It was about 1400 ft when I ran, with a temp of 78. |

Re: Live From Orlando
I think it looks good without all of those decals all over the paint !
|
Re: Live From Orlando
The car does look great. Eddie pulled all the decals off the car a year or so ago and probably won't put any back on.

Re: Live From Orlando
Ed and Todd's cars are always killers both in looks and performance. ...Car really looks good in a solid color . ....I'm sure he on kill with it as usual too! ......Tom

Well stock and Super Stock made both runs today. I did not see anyone pickup. In the morning the weather was good, but by the time stock went down the track, it was about 4 slower then yesterday morning.
No records were set as far as I know, I could be wrong. I have not been able to cruise around much this weekend, trying to get my car sorted out. Sal Biondo snapped some more shots around the pits. If anyone is looking for a particular car or info, let me know, I will try to post it for you. Thanks Mike, hope to be at Norwalk. Thanks Larry, I having a great time. Brian, the air is good but not as good as Atco with similar numbers. It has averaged around 1200 to 1400 ft, but there is a 4-6 mph head. Its just not as fast as the weather says. Don't get me wrong its good air here, but not killer air. |
Re: Live From Orlando
Denny Stewart set the GT/IA

Art, Denny set the record in GT/HA at 10.05, and Garry set the SS/N at 11.68. I was just talking to Denny as he was putting everything back together.
