Not bad for a guy who got his start running over in the "junior league IHRA". We all know the IHRA has never produced any real racers, that's why a majority of us on this board would not think of racing over there because the competition is beneath us.

Good job Anthony, you represent racers who made their mark and continue to make their mark in IHRA well.

Sounds like someone didn't eat their weaties yesterday.....that was an un called for remark...dirty..just dirty....i don't think bertozzi feels that way about IHRA...i heaard plenty of reasons why NHRA drivers don't run IHRA but this one is beyond me.....if i wasn't such a nice person i would say more....

For what its worth, I didn't read Smittys remark like you guys took it. Re-read it again, it may not be that he's slamming IHRA or Bertozzi - but being sarcastic and taking a jab at the crowd who doesn't give IHRA guys any credit.

Herb and Brandon,

I think you need to go back and re read what I said. I wasn't putting Anthony down by any means, I think Anthony is one of the top racers period without question! If either of you read this board you have seen how some of the NHRA racers look down upon racers who race in the IHRA and I was simply being sarcastic to the fact. Notice I gave him kudos for representing the IHRA.

So rather than go negative here on you guys I am gonna ask for your apology, I have never come on here and bashed anyone let alone Anthony.

Oh, Herb how many IHRA or NHRA races have you won? I haven't won any races never said I did.

DJ,

My name is Terrance Smith and if you want to levy a threat I will be sure to pass it on to the authorities. You and anyone else better learn to read before you trash anyone on this site.

Jim,

It's nice to see some people can pick out sarcasm and see the compliment given. Some folks just ride on their dad's accomplishments.

Angela,

I see that you are an educated young lady, can't believe you are associated with men who can't understand or comprehend a compliment. I was trying to take the high road but comments like find out who he is or keyboard racer doesn't sit well with me. I am a man and can admit when I make a mistake yet these few individuals will not and it's ok if they don't, I'm not losing sleep over it. People who really know me know that's not my style to bash anyone like some of these guys on here do.

Thanks Again,
Smitty

Brandon,

I didn't see where you posted you read it wrong until now unless it was removed. I believe your last post was if you weren't such a nice guy you would say some other things. I am glad that you and Angela are good friends, everyone needs them. My complaint here is that a few of you guys took something that was a sarcastic comment and twisted it like I was bashing Anthony and the IHRA. Heck I grew up on IHRA Drag Racing in the heart of IHRA country so why would I diss on our people? I compliment you regularly when I discuss who's doing what back home in Class racing. I appreciate your response on this matter.

Herb,

You know what I need to apologize, this is silly. I know what I meant and I just wanted clarify it. I see AB at the races when he comes to Florida I admire what he has done. I got a little bothered because my words were twisted. We need to promote racing and not b and moan over little stuff.

Re: Bertozzi Wins Again

Smitty, when Brandon said "all i said was that was dirty and i admit once again i read it wrong" I believe he got his words mixed up and put the "again" where it didn't belong. He wasn't trying to say "again, I read it wrong" as to say he's already said he was mistaken, he was trying to say when he "read it again, he read it wrong".

Anyways, Big Pete is a good friend of mine, he's a good kid. Ironically, he's my age :D That's me being sarcastic today.

So, boys, just chill out and "get off the chip" - this was just one big miscommunication that wouldn't have happened if you were **** chatting face to face. Sarcasm (sp?) is often taken the wrong way in the live to begin with, then factor in not being able to deliver the tone and facial expressions you might have said with those statements if you said it in in person, you can expect problems with how it is taken. On Brandons end he fell victim of getting in a hurry when typing a reply and ended up with a sentence that wasn't what he was trying to say, again, something that wouldn't have happened in the live as you would have realized by his tone that he wasn't being smart, but was saying he misunderstood.

Anyways, I realized I forgot to tell Anthony Congrats. He's a very bad man. And I don't bad as in evil, I mean bad as in skilled. :)

Smitty,
I think Herb Jr. was IHRA Super Stock World Champion in 1994 so he has won one or two races!
And Congratulations Anthony.

I picked up on the sarcasm right away and think it's pretty funny. And by the way...thanks for the compliment to the IHRA racers Smitty! Again Kudo's to Anthony, I think you should just chase NHRA points and forget about IHRA for this season!!!

Congrats, Anthony! A great weekend for you , Rodney, and family. Thanks for the photos Memories. I'll throw this out. Has there been another S or S/S car that has won more more National, Divisional races and Championships in both associations than this car?? The car and driver are both very impressive. No signs of slowing down either. Randy
