Re: Boise
Smitty,
I believe they would have to go 1.40+ under their see level indexes to get it. Chuck P. Ya you betcha. Chuck N. I see you have a hired gun driving that SS car now eh. Ron M., Never mind I'll just tell you later. Tim |
Re: Boise
No horsepower unless they go under the sea level indexes. Hal Sorenson got close though, 10.159 in B/SA... that's impressive.
|
Re: Boise
3rd qualifying pass just got him HP, 1.408 under B/SA index ..
|
Re: Boise
Andrew Hill is correct, you get hit at altitude tracks when you go 1.40 under your SEA LEVEL index, when are some of you guys going to get it?

I had to show this to my wife because I found it quite funny. She is a native of Fargo ND and a 2nd Gen Norwegian. I've heard the phrase from my in-laws for years, but have never seen it in print. So I showed it to her and she told me that you spelled it wrong. I guess you had to have been there to appreciate it. Ask Lisson and Mattson, I always tease them about the way they talk. |
Re: Boise
Yup, the spelling is UFF DA. But who is keeping track.

Re: Boise
From a "true Norweign' it is "Uf Da Mein". I'm not sure of exact spelling - my mother who is 100% Norg, would probably correct me.

Re: Boise
Is Soreson's car a 396 or a 427?
|
Re: Boise
Its a " LIGHT WEIGHT " Rocket!

Re: Boise
Rob Youngblood is backing up his SS/J record run Saturday morning. He's got a tire problem and can't get replacements at the track so his ET is off. But the MPH is 134+!

Re: Boise
What's most amazing was that my dad's car lost an average .15 - .2 in mild conditions at Boise years ago. In fact several SoCal cars who normally ran at sea level lost between .1 - .25.
1.40 or more....and un-corrected...:eek:man...that is REALLY hauling ***** |
