Newbie
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Floyd Gomez and although not new to drag racing, I am new to super Gas. I am currently working on my license. My car is a 67 camaro full tube chassis, 509 CI BBC with steel heads and dual 1050 dominators. Powerglide trans with 513 gears. Car runs 5.40 consistant in the 1/8 @ 133 mph. I am currently waiting on the stop to come in so I can slow the car down some. Hope to see some of you soon at the races. I am a transplant from Louisiana that now lives in South Carolina. |
Re: Newbie
Welcome Floyd, sounds like you have enough motor. lol. I'm retired from racing now but I won a few super rod races. I loved the heads-up classes.

Welcome Floyd. Do your best at all cost to avoid Lynn in the staging lanes, Red 66-67 chevelle. Meet her for an adult beverage, thats it.

Re: Newbie
I take it she is deadly on the tree? Maybe I should bring some cajun food to feed her in the pits! LOL

Re: Newbie
Hey Lynn, are you and Tom going to any of the Div 1 races that I should know about?
I'm planning my racing trip for (raid on you Yankees) this summer, need to know which races to avoid... haha! |
Re: Newbie
First - Gary put himself out - think just knowing it was my daughter spooked him!!!
Second - Yes, Wednesdays are unavailable, even for my husband!!! Third - unfortunately we won't be racing much this season, Ed. With the move to PA and waiting on $$$ from the sell of the house, Tom's new job, I'm job hunting .... we have a lot on our plates. Besides, I want a new house before going racing again!!!! Weren't you the guy that collected a double bounty a few years back by putting me on the trailer??? First round I think too!!! How's Shelly?? Let me know where your going so I can visit!!!! |
Re: Newbie
Hey Lynn, we're missing you and Tom already. Hoping everything works out great for you guys so you can join us next season?
We'll let you know what Div I races we decide to invade, then we can plan a visit. Shell is typing this for me, (or else it would look like Dan's spelling in his last post.) She says Hi! Hey Dan, you're #1! |
Re: Newbie
HE POSTED ?!? Where?
I missed it!!! In case you're reading - "Hi Dan!" |
Re: Newbie
Yes, Mr. Moore posted under Joe Pinkston's post: SST/HR race May 23/24. I have to call him Mr Moore because, apparently I'm his pit b*tch......
Poor Floyd must think he's getting himself into some serious insanity. |

Re: Newbie
Well if NHRA stops hitting the crack pipe I might get that chance to go racing. Having major issues with getting chassis certified even though it is certified by IHRA to 7.50 and was done less than 3 months ago.
