Kevin will be there with the big orange Camaro, and I'll be up if I get off from work.

I think a few of the local class racers will be up as well, but I don't know how many.

In the past it has been a basic bracket type program. Usually a form of a quick field then something along the line of Super Pro, Pro, etc.. Contact the track for exact type of field.

I was told it would be a 0.50 index type of bracket race, called Top Stock. In other words, for example, an index of 10.50, you can't go quicker than 10.50 or you're out.

Alan, That would be on the same line as the Nostalga Super Stock class' run, right?

Ron, I wouldn't know. It's something I've never really looked at. I'm just passing along what I was told at the open a few weeks back.

They have ran them there in the past, so I'm sure they will be ran again this year. Just not sure, the way everything has changed this year.

Craig Bourgeois was going to run junior fuel but was told the deadline was June 2 to enter. He made a few phone calls and they are holding true to it.

Here are the classes for the NHRR 2009.

http://www.nhra.com/2009/images/Museum/09nhrrclasses2.pdf

You must be pre-entered to race. If not, just come to spectate. It is the best nostalgia event you will ever attend. Huge crowds, hundreds of show cars, swap meet, old racecars on display, and plenty of racing on Beech Bend's 1/4 mile. See old race friends you haven't run across in years. And of course I'll be there teching cars as usual.

Alan , You better check on that first. Camaros generally are not accepted in NSS.

Not to hijack the thread but...Anyone hear the rumor that the NHRA Museum will closing this year and most of the contents will be relocated to the Petersen Museum in LA? Anybody have confirmation?

Link to the rumor info....http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=371424

Mark, as far as I know, Kevin has been registered for a couple of months, and they told him what class to enter.

Camaros cannot run NSS. They can run Modified Eliminator with an aftermarket hood scoop or Top Stock Eliminator if they meet the following rules:

Top Stock Eliminator – All Run Field:
Top Stock Eliminator is designed for ’72 and older stock bodied cars with any drive train.
Factory type spoilers and hood scoops allowed. Full glass windows, factory type interiors,
and bumpers required. No tire limits, but must fit within wheel wells. Suspension
component not limited. Safety Inspection by NHRA E.T. Rules. Eight classes on handicap
full tree.
A/S – 10.00
B/S – 10.50
C/S – 11.00
D/S – 11.50
E/S – 12.00
F/S – 12.50
G/S – 13.00
H/S – 13.50

As posted before, rules for the NHRR 2009 event can be found at:

Everybody stop by the Currie booth and say hello to Scott Hudson. He's there with his race car along with Dan Cargille and his race car. They are doing a tour. Scott does the Speed Scene Live TV program and will be filming as well as racing. He is from the west coast but don't hold it against him.
Tell him I said hi!

I entered a couple of months ago and will be running B/S. I'm looking forward to it. See you there!
