I use a GEMS adjustable pressure switch. They are available thru industrial supply houses. Also, try E-Bay. I do not remember the model #, only that it is a 1/8 npt fitting. Also, it cost about $40-50 dollars. Hope this helps!

adjustable delay presure switches? Gee, just when I thought I left that stuff behind when I went Stock Eliminator racing .... guess not.
Maybe we should add adjustable pressure buttons for the brake pedal too?
Maybe just a small delay box....won't hurt anything, right?

I thought that stuff was for the Delay Box guys, guess not. That's pretty disappointing actually.

Jok,

This is not a delay switch it works off of brake pressure, with no difference from a brake pedal switch and is legal and widely used. If these are illegal then brake pressure gauges should be as well.

Just a wolfe in sheeps clothing. Nothing but a 4 wheel line lock...plain and simple

Re: Who Sells the Adjustable Brake Pressure Launch Control Switches??

I agree Chris.
They might be legal, at least for now, but they are just another way to aledgedly add some "delay" coming off the chip. Not much different than a long throw switch, the AXE or bleeder valves on solenoids.
I have not ran Stock for very long but it is more messed up than I thought it would be, thats for sure. Here I thought it was footbraking or clutching...what was I thinking? I should have known better with prize money at National Events reaching $15K with the right decals,

Re: Who Sells the Adjustable Brake Pressure Launch Control Switches??

The adjustable pressure switch cannot and will not add delay.

This is because it is controlled by the brake pedal. If you set the switch-on pressure very low, the engine will be late coming off the two-step, but the car will have already started rolling, because you have released the brakes. So, it rolls out of the beam at 2300 rpm, or at whatever rpm the two-step is set.

This is why the old brake light switches from early Fords, for example, don't work very well. They are very sensitive to brake pressure, and the switch closes at something around 100 lbs.

On the other hand, a switch that closes at 800 lbs can be very uncomfortable to hold for any length of time. And maybe 500 lbs is comfortable for you, but not enough to hold the car at your chosen rpm.

The object is to get a quick release of the switch, before the wheels start rolling.

This is a bigger joke than the finger button. Bring back the finger button!

Your not allowed to use the finger button anymore?

Re: Who Sells the Adjustable Brake Pressure Launch Control Switches??

While on the subject, you used to see a lot of brake line pressure gauges in use. Normally how much pressure is required to lock the front brakes during a burn out, or staging the car? I know you see a lot of guys pumping the brake pedal as hard and quick as a Nascar jackman lifting the car for a tire change. Don Jackson
