We are finally on the road again, headed that way. I know some of you are already there in line. Let us know what is going on. Hey, Lil Duane, say you are # 7 in line with Mr. Hawk? So what's happening?

We have a couple of stops yet to make, so anybody who is there, feel free to jump on and let us know who all is there.

Bowling Green was almost empty when we left there, so I imagine 3/4 of those people are there in line!

Yeah!! We are finally here. We are #301 in line and they have only parked 120 or so. They say they are only parking til 5, so we unloaded the golf cart so we can go in and see what's going on inside. They say they only have 2 people parking.

Tom, tell Ray to just call me on my cell phone.

Boo, Boo, I saw your dad at Bowling Green. I will tell him hi for you.

Well more later. Larry is fixing the lights on my golf cart so nobody runs over us.

Hi,
Larry just grilled a wonderful steak, plus sweet potatoes, 3 bean salad, and cucumber salad. It was great!

They are parking tonight until 8. They are on about 230 now. Hopefully we will get in tonight, but I am not counting on it. We unloaded the golf cart when we first got here and went over to the pits. Lots of people in already. We got to congratulate Steve Wann in person on his superstock win and semi finish in stock at Topeka this weekend. They have a big spot saved for the west coast guys.

Also saw Rick and Roz Gresens, Bridges, Silveus, Dennis, Cotten, Hawk's car, Lux and lots of others. We are parked next to Dave Boertman (who broke his thumb yesterday).

The temps are supposed to be down to 48 tonight. That makes for really great sleeping!

They only parked 264 rigs today. #265 is first in the morning. I haven't heard what time they are going to begin tomorrow. So much for sleeping in in the morning.

We have been out talking with Bobby Brannon, Ken Faulk, Pouciau, McClister, McFarland, Jennifer McCormick and others. We are still all waiting to get in. Oh, when you get here, you need to watch where you step. Geese have been flying over and leaving little green deposits everywhere!

Also, be careful on I-465 around the airport. This afternoon the police were shooting radar and pulling lots of people over. Also there is lots of construction on I-465. We got off at Crawfordsville Road and it was ok, after we were off the interstate.

Oh thanks to Al and Bev Provoast for all the vegetables that Al brought us today. Really good looking tomatoes and other goodies!

Ronnie West had dropped his trailer and gone to the motel whenever they started moving everyone up. John Shaul came back and was going to move it on up, but they stopped before they got to him. I think it would have been funny if they had hid it from him!!

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here at Indy! We are in and parked and all set up and ready to go to tech. I think Larry is vacuuming out some of the Bowling Green grass out of the racecar that we brought with us.

We are parked down almost as far as we were last year. We are right beside the fence at the end of the track where we crossed over from parking last night. We are right across from the Full Throttle trailer if you want to find us in here. We could have gotten up further, but Larry thought this would be a good spot.

I am going to take the camera up to tech so maybe I can get some pics for you today.

Bob, I haven't seen the Emmons yet.
Tom, Al is not racing. He brought Charlie Downing's car in. Bev is not with him, but I will tell him Hi for you and Ruth.

7820, about dinner. We were only parked about a foot away from Dave Boertman's bedroom window last night. That's a little too close if you want to get loud!!

The weather is showing Humidity @ 41% and the barometer is at 30.32 with the dew point @ 44. Temp. is 69. Should be a great racing weather with a lot of fast times.

Just looked at the schedule. We start out at 9 in the morning with stock, then super gas, superstock, super comp. Everyone gets 2 time trials. Then on Thurs, Stock has 1 run, then super gas, then class begins. Super stock runs class on Friday, like usual. Didn't we use to get 3 runs on Wed? Oh well.

As people are coming in now they are getting parked right away. There is still lots of parking back here in the back 40.

I've got more pictures I will post a little later. Going to try to take some more, too.

Oh, I talked to Bill Hawk this morning and he told me he had planned to run A/SA here this weekend. But he does not have a roll cage in his car. More than likely the car who wins A/SA will run in the 9's. His car does not have a rollcage and they told him in tech that if he ran in the 9's, he would be dq at the scales without a rollcage. He said when he built the car it was a D/SA car so it did not need the cage. I know he is disappointed because he said he could win A/SA. So you guys in B/SA better watch out! He is ready for you!

Rumor heard today: Indexes drop by .50 next year. Trigger point -1.00 under.
