Jack you almost need to win the lotto to run one, I know guys that have spent 200 to build one and it takes at least 50 a year to run one if you want to be fast

I'd be either hunting down John Friels '68 Hemi Dart Super Stocker, or I'd pay try to find the former SS/BA Dodge Coronet that Dennis Maurer & Judy Lilly used to race and I'd be heading out to my bud Steve Wann to get it back to prominence, then I'd join the ranks of the two car racers and do one heck of a lot more traveling, with both cars...now that would be awesome!!!

Oh, and depending on how many millions I'd win, I'd certainly find a company I truly like and see about getting their workforce (if foreign) to be exclusively American like it used to be (Converse, or Bendix are two of interest)!!!

I've worn them longer than I can remember. But durability has gone downhill since they almost went out of business and started outsourcing overseas. But it seems I saw a site a few years ago that showed overseas manufactured shoes as well as domestic. That figures Myron, but at least I can lay claim to having a pair of the last "American Made Con's" , that were in the colors of Denver, Co's "South Senior High School"...purple & white!!! Moreover, I bought them back in January of '87, and they're in mint condition (and I store them in their original box), because I've only worn them 5X's, and I made certain it was only to special casual affairs (starting with my 10yr reunion)!

I digress that I tried some of those "Chinese" made Converse's, and I would've been lucky to get 6 months worth of life out of them, where the "American" versions lasted twice as long (if not longer)!!!

Thus, if there are some Converse shoes that are "All American" like they all should be, I'll pay whatever reasonable price they come with...otherwise I'm heading off to the "New Balance" shoe line...how about you Myron? BTW, what shoe stores carry the American Converse's, because I don't frequent stores much?
