Stacy blew the tires off both times. It hooked like a tow truck at Muncie last weekend. Air is about 1000 feet better. Wish I was there.

Stephen Johnson set the SS/E record at 9.52 . I don't think Ihave seen two more beautiful runs from a SSer ever! In the air till about the 330. It was a thing of beauty, however the pan was damaged on the backup pass. Jim

Re: Record set at Valdosta

Altitude was about 400 feet all day but the barometer was only 28.77. Traction was iffy at best. Better weather is slated for tomorrow.

Any qualifying sheets posted? I know they dont qualify at Natl Opens but they had them at the Ducth for info purposes.

Re: Record set at Valdosta

There are sheets up at the trailer but nothing on the internet that I have seen. I left the track before the last qualifying sheet was up. Jim

Anouncer said Daniels had enough on his 8.33 run to set the record. I didn't see his first run so I don't know what he ran. Wescott looked like he spun through the 60 foot a 1.30 something I think. Daniels was 1.16 60 foot time.

I heard John Duzac went 10.53@125.95! With his 302 Z in D stick. I haven't seen any qualifying sheets yet.

He did say the track temp went down to 75 degrees so the bite was not there.

9.21@144.70. He went 1.22 60 foot best ever and he hit the rev limiter at every shift and at the end 8700 chip. C'mon Stacy chip that bitch! congrats to Steve and Horace!

Re: Record set at Valdosta

He took the monster mudders off and put the smaller radials on and forgot to change the rev limiter chip. He said the limiter came one at the 1000 foot mark. Stock Pontiac block and crank over 8700 rpm his knees are knockin' a bit.

Re: Record set at Valdosta

Stacy said he went over by your trailer Steve, but there were so many Ford guys hanging around your trailer he had to get the hell out of there! ;)

Stacy said his run was 1009 feet corrected. 3PM this afternoon. He said it was 29.6 this morning and 29.45 this afternoon. He said they watched it move 15 from morning to afternoon

They got 353 feet first run, 977 feet, second run was 1009 third run.
