Posting Threads & Moderators
Just a quick reminder on posting threads. Please try to post threads in their respective sections. It does not seem to be an on going issue, its just a reminder. I started these new sections to keep the forum in some kind of order.
Also, when you respond to a thread, try not to hijack the thread. If you have another comment that does not necessarily pertain to the thread, start another thread. I know its not always easy and there is times when it can't be helped, but most members understand and try to keep threads on track. The moderators on Class Racer are here to help things run smooth, they have no agenda, they only follow the instructions that I have gave them. Bruce Noland has being moderating for many years and always corresponds with me when moderating the forum, and he has my support. Its not an easy job to do, and he takes flack for doing it. You can not make everyone happy all the time. If members have issues please email me before you post on Class Racer, I'm sure we can resolve any issues that may come up. Ken Miele |
Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
OK
But when someone post on here, and the moderator dosen't like it because its the truth, or because it differs with what he belives in, He takes the thread off at his discretion, not cool yes this still is the USA. CANT YOU GUYS PLAY TOGETHER MARRY CHRISMAS AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT |

Give it a rest, my friend. I'm sure Ken has other sources of income and doesn't need to do this. We need this site. Now, more than ever. |

Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
Thanks guys.
dhmoore, please site specific threads or posts that have been removed because the moderators did not agree with them? Yes this is the USA, but Class Racer is not. You waved your rights to say anything you wish when you check the box agreeing to Class Racers rules. I will quote the last line in the rules. "The owners of CLASS RACER FORUM reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason." As far as removing post or threads, yes this does happen, but there are many reasons why posts or threads are removed. Should I let posts stay that threaten to kill people or falsely accuse members or other people. Where do you want me to draw the line. Does a person have a right to yell fire falsely in a crowded room. I do not like to remove threads or post, but some times it has to be done. By your tone, I guess you think you could do a better job. You can insult me all you want, but I did not force you to become a member of Class Racer. If the site does not met your requirements, feel free to move on. There is no sense in participating in a forum where you are unhappy with the moderators and the way it is run. Oh by they way, I don't agree with you, so why did I not remove the thread? |
Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
Mr. Admin.
I was posting about the lousy job that nhra was doing, how we were all paying to much for so little, and said that we as nhra members have the right to try to change things as they are now. And i got slamed, for trying to make things better even for you s/ss men, i get the boot. Well now tell me i was wroung!! |
Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
Your post was over the top and I ask you to stop. What you posted was one sided and I removed it. Like I said, you checked the box agreeing to the rules, I did not force you to join.
I still don't agree with you, but I have not removed your posts in this thread. You are wrong when you say posts are removed by moderators when they don't agree with them, the proof is right here. And please do bring that post up again about NHRA. |
Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
nobody bashes NHRA more than me... and nhra will agree !
anyway the forum guys do a good job dealing with us, anyone who runs a customer based business know how difficult it is trying to walk the line between the edge and over the edge... thanks kenny, bruce & co for a place to run our mouths ! jack mccarthy |

Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
I fully support the forum rules. In the U.S. we have the right to say what we want as well as the freedom to disagree. Participating on this forum is a privledge, not a right. Ken, Bruce, and the rest of the admins are the ones with a right.... to keep it going or to take it away. If you post a "flame" (a.k.a. bashing something or somebody) be prepared for the consequences.
Secondly, this forum has brought the class racing community closer together in ways not possible in it's history. IMO it probably has saved Stock and Super Stock from NHRA extinction...at least for the moment. Let's honor these guys for what they do by adhering to the rules. ;) |
Re: Posting Threads & Moderators
Jack, Gary, I do appreciate the kind words. I know I may not always make the right calls with some members, but I do try to be fair. Ask some of my good friends that have been banned for a week for not following the rules in classifieds.
Gary, you are right on the mark, but I don't want members to think I'm unreasonable. If they have legitimate concerns or issues with the forum I am always ready to listen. I would also like to think that Class Racer has helped the class racing community come together, well said Gary Thanks again guys, and Mickey, you need to enlighten me on DWA Ken Miele |

1. Spelled the word "wrong" as you did..... "wroung"??? Since when was a "u" in that word? 2. Spelled "Merry Christmas", "Marry Chrismas"??? Where's the "e" (not "a") in Merry, and the "t" in Christmas??? Ken & Bruce, just as cities can overule states with regards to certain laws, and states can do the same with certain laws over the feds, so can you call the shots to the bylaws of YOUR FORUM! As someone else here said, you're allowing racers nationwide to have a place to connect with each other, and discuss relevant topics regarding our sport, and how it affects the categories we participate in. I hope you guys never change that mindset, because every day it seems like the backbone of our great nation is becoming more wimpy, to cater to the desires of newcomers who think once they become citizens of our country (or members of something...like this forum), that they can change the rules regarding how we live (or the rules pertaining to memberships...like this forum). Keep on keeping on guys, because this forum (and all of it's members), has allowed us racers (whether we raced a little or a lot this year), a place to keep up with the latest news affecting all of our sportsman classes, our fellow racers, and both of the "hot rod association(s)"! THANKS AGAIN KEN & BRUCE, and all of the sponsors to this GREAT WEBSITE!!! BTW, "MERRY CHRISTMAS", & "HAPPY NEW YEAR" to all of you in this forum!!! :) |
