Ok gang.......
It's cold out and I'm bored. I would like to see those old stock and SS pics that you have stashed away.
How about sharing those old pics with the group.

Let's start with the most popular (by volume) car out there in the sportsman ranks... the chevrolet camaro!
If you can't post a picture.... email me a copy and I'll post it for you (ssslim@comcast.net).

If you can't email them... send me a stack of pics and I'll scan them and post them and return them unharmed.

After we do the camaros... we can move on to another brand.

My dad and I raced 3 different camaros with at least 7 different paint jobs.

Mike McGraths 69 SS convertible, last car he built, if I remember right Don Kennedy bought it and painted it his signature green at the time, What do ya say Don, got any pictures?

Thomas, funny how things turn out, I was just thinking of asking you if you had some spare time on your hands to compile all the picture you've taken this year from all the race cars and racer from the different tracks you've attended. The quality is of professional level. Claude

W/all due respect for the earlier gen cars, maybe someone will also post pics of a few 4th gen LS-1 ('98-'02) Camaros? They're surely making some serious noise out there in the S and SS lanes.....I love the 1st gens and all the others just as much, though..... WJ

This car was driven to a world championship by Jimmy Defrank.
Why does it have a division 3 number on it?

Tony..... you are correct.... that picture of the defranks camaro was provided by none other than Conway Witten. He said that he drove the car right after he built the car for the defranks in 1991(?).

Here's Conway again in the Defrank camaro (circa 1990) in GT/AA trim.
Car went 9.47 twenty years ago...... thats about 8.57 today!.... wow

The Eddie Miranian SS/EA car is the same car as the Oakley & Vineyard car. Alan Oakley bought that car from Eddie Miranian back in the eighties. He drove that car for a while, then Harry Vineyard drove it. Harry got out of one of the finest stockers in the country to drive that Camaro, Harry's legendary white 69 Chevelle 427/425 B/SA, also driven by Tucker Parrish with a 4 speed in A/S. Harry still has the 69 Camaro, Stan Perry drove it a while back to win the Division 2 championship. Just for the record, this is the same car in all three pictures. It's Brian Oakes' camaro formerly owned by John Armstrong. The top pic is when it was owned by Greg Nickerson who won the 86' Grandnationals against my dad. They raced against each other almost every weeked at our local tracks here in the maritimes.
